I'm thinking about selling the IS300 and Miata and getting an S2k.

Talk me into it or out of it - whichever your preference.

edit: Also just sold the wagon. Sold in less than 72hrs for 2.5x what I paid for it.

Why sell the miata..Just get rid of the IS300 and buy an S2K with that..Im sure theres cheap ones on some used car lots. Is there a particularly special one you want? Then again I would hate to have two roadsters in my possession..they would sort of compete with me for seat time and that would get frustrating.

I do know if I was to buy a "new"(er) car, It would be an S2K. They are spiffay and from what ive witness and read, they are very capable.

Do it:D . However, it definitely wouldn't be much of a project car, which is part of the reason I think you buy the cars you do. You enjoy making all of your shiza. It will be one of the most fun cars you ever buy if you can get her out on an autox. Oh yea, and dirt cheap to maintain :)

You can't really do any N/A mods but that doesnt really matter since Im sure you'd go turbo. But they're nice and if you dont need space, then why not.

Do it, I absolutely love my S2K, yea its a Honda and it has no torque, but that doesnt matter really when your out on the autox track thats what the revs are for. Check on s2ki.com people sell em for cheap all the time.

S2K's rock but I'd rather see you turbo the IS300. If it were myself it would be a hard choice. I'm sure the IS is at least fun to drive, and it's got to be way more comfortable and practical than an S2K too. That being said, if I was given a straight up choice I'm sure I'd chose an S2000.. because I'm impractical. =) As far as reliability I'm sure they're the same. Oh and I think the S2000 is just as much a project car as the IS300... though neither are "Project cars" as in on the cheap. They both baller status project cars hah. Wheels for $2000, suspension for $1000+, etc.

Eek, they are just such different breeds of cars. Comfy drifty torque vs. twitchy high rev hp. You need to drive them both, really drive them, and decide which style best suits your desires and taste!

I dunno man.. that's a tough choice. If your IS is working out for you then I say don't rock the boat.. but you gotta do what you want to do! Goodluck!

P.S. Years down the road, the S2K *might* hold it's resale value more, just because there aren't as many roadster options out there, and the S2kKIs a great one!

Quit being a bitch and get what you want. It's obvious you want the Honda S2000 as you wouldn't even consider getting rid of two cars to get one unless it was something you wanted really bad. So, quit wasting our time and get the damn Honda.

well usually I wouldnt consider it but actually the wife brought it up. It's nice having 2 cool cars but then again its kind of a pain in the ass because only 1 goes in the garage and has to be out in the weather.

I gotta test drive a 2L and a 2.2L but the 2L would probably be funner and have some $ left over for mawds.

hmm I dunno. Always wanted one. I'm about:
70% in favor of getting an S2k
20% in favor of keeping my options open - i.e. WRX, 350z, G35 coupe
10% in favor of keeping my cars as they are.

I hadn't even seriously thought of cashing in my tyte whips but Marcie brought it up and it got the gears turning.

Well I would say G35 coupe + turbo but that would cost substantially more than an S2K.. G35's do period IIRC. S2000 it is.. Go for it dood! It will be hot and a blast to drive!

P.S. I say don't buy a WRX I think you'll regret it.

If your going for a 2l S2k, get the 03 model year. I can't remember now, but there were some minor differences for the oil squirter banjo bolts....or something to that effect. I have forgotten since I had mine.

Well I guess let me chime in from a ricers point of view:D I'd say get a G35 if you got the funds. Just do a lil susp mods, add some rims and just ride. But from your stand point, I'm sure you wanna have fun with it and do more than just drive the car. I mean don't get me wrong, I still stick to my roots and would love to have a S2k, I mean it was that or the G35 back then but when it came down to it for me, getting into something nice,comfortable, and not worrying about this and that noise later on down the rd was it for me.

Anyways back to your org Q, sell both cars and get the S2k. :D
