I might stop by on my way to Auburn...
Well, I may not be coming after all. There is NO 93 oct around here at all. Hell, I was lucky I found 1 station with 87oct. I checked out 8 gas stations. Taking a gas can with me to work tomorrow to see if I can find some over that way. Otherwise, the vette is staying put this weekend.

I had the same issue here this week. There was no 93 in milton at all. I had to drive 40 miles into pensacola before i found some.

yeah there's some sort of birthday party that evening, plus moving, plus no tuning. Hey sam when can we sneak the volvo on the dyno next week? (and whose got some nawz)
Got some 93oct this morning after waiting for 15min at the only gas station within 10 miles that had any. I have 5gal of the precious nectar in my gas can in the back of the honda. Now all I have to do is find 13gal more so I can get a full tank to come to AU and then Montgomery.

Here's the breakdown on my runs if anyone cares to see how things went:
............Run #1.........Run #2.......Run #3.........Run #4
R/T......0.725sec......0.151sec.....0.163sec.......0.570sec
60'.......2.413sec......2.252sec.....1.958sec.......2.225sec
330'.....5.728sec......5.455sec.....5.073sec.......5.365sec
1/8......8.330sec......7.958sec.....7.546sec.......7.842sec
MPH....95.57mph....98.19mph....98.39mph......99.55mph
1000'..10.599sec....10.123sec.....9.699sec......10.042sec
1/4.....12.508sec....11.979sec....11.563sec....11.933sec
MPH..117.50mph...119.41mph....120.00mph...118.07mph
The track was super sticky too, my boots would kind of stick to the track a bit when I was staging. The bike came up off the ground on me on the 4th run so that was a bit of a suprise, came down smooth and everything but that was my first wheelie. All in all, I had a great time and would love to go back and do some more runs.

I'm waiting to see some C6 times.
11.997@122.68 w/ a 2.071 60' . I won't be breaking any records with the stock tires and I somehow manage to show up at the track with a little less than 2/3rd's a tank of gas. I used last night to test a couple of different tunes to see how the car responded. Productive night for me from a tune point of view. I will get the car into kill mode once winter full hits. Gonna go calculate DA's now lol.
Ok, for those that were wondering why your times were a bit slower than usual last night, here are the DA's for each of my runs. I used 160' for track elevation, some sources were saying 170'...it woudn't make a difference anyway.
8:51 pm - DA +1742'
9:40 pm - DA +1599'
10:13 pm - DA +1536'
I used wunderground to almost exactly match the time of run to the weather update and used MMP's zip code as the location. Temp was good last night(althought it never dropped below 70deg during my runs) and the humidity wasn't even that bad. Pressure was on the low side and pressure swings can sway the DA, even with cooler temps, enourmously.

Well, it's a stock '07 600RR and that is the model that set a lot of records for 600s but this was my first time running it on the track. I think if I got my launch down a bit better that I may touch low 11s possibly 10s but that is a lot of time to make up. The larger bikes that were there (3 GSX-R 1000s and 1 ZX-14R) were running 9s with full race setups and nitrous so I seriously doubt I'd pull a stock 600RR that far down in the times. Maybe with a PCIII and a few bolt-ons but that is a lot of time to make up either way.

I will go sometime this winter and will bring a chart that i use on a daily basis to calculate the DA for flights (very crucial in an underpowered helo) so we can know instantaneous DA

Just don't play the tree, focus on your launch and you'll get better. Who cares what your R/T is at a test and tune event (unless of course you're putting some money down on your car).

That's the plan. To tell the truth, I just want to know what this thing will trap because I know it's not going to hook on these tires.
How was the traction and track prep? I might roll with you guys the next time.
Traction was good as was prep. I am at the point now where I just plain don't have enough tire to get off the line. Be that as it may, the tires on the car are definitely more capable than this 2.0X 60' junk I keep pulling. I was out there just trying to be consistent with my shifting so I could see how each tune affected my mph. I only had 1 run where I spun at the top of first and then shifted to second and had a to peddle a bit. My log of this run showed me working the throttle in second to a much greater degree than I thought I did.
You should come out next time. MMP is a great track to just go have fun at.

Aados, what is preventing you from running? I'd like to race you if you change your mind.
I would kind of like to replace my timing belt before I all out race the car after everyone here got me paranoid lol. Now I hear any noise and am worried. I know a VW is no Honda but I didn't think they were this unreliable. Anyways it might be fine but like I said, I'm iffy. I also have this 2.5" downpipe sitting here that I'd like to toss on before I go. I haven't done it yet because someone stole my old tools which means I don't have the socket extensions or elbow joints I need... plus I can't decide if I want to sell the 2.5" and get a 3" Another thing is I just went from 5w30 that the previous owner used to 0w40 so I'm kind of letting the engine get used to it.
So in essence I have no real excuse.
Michael, you got a base C6 within .2 of a Z06 with just bolt ons?.. not too shabby I suppose. That 335 is sick too, what a nice car. Stephen, was that you in the WRX wagon? It looked fast in the vid.. what did you run and what's done to it? I can't keep up with you guys and your cars lol. Ah.. the McGowin brothers.. hehe.
Sounds like you guys had fun, wish I could have been there.
Michael, you got a base C6 within .2 of a Z06 with just bolt ons?.. not too shabby I suppose.
If I had gotten the 60' Daniel got last night, I would have gone faster than him. My car is slightly faster than his C6Z based off of the mph each of our cars put down last night.

Yeah that was me in the wagon. It was slow night. I think a best of 13.7@99...pretty shitty. The wagon has an sti ra gearset, which is stronger...but 1st gear is longer, which makes it tough to come out of hole with out bogging. I was launching at 5500+ and still bogging out of the hole...a launch like that in the sti would blow the tires off hahah.
So, come back next time and launch off the limiter or abuse the clutch with more slippage out of the hole...get the 60' to a solid 1.8 spinning and it should go low 13's@102'ish on a good night.:)
As far as mods, its has a long list...haha. But power wise, stock turbo, tbe, txs tmic, some p&p'ing and ceramic coating on the header and turbo.

My car did shitty as well. I filled up just north of mont in some little crappy town and I'm not convinced that I really got 93 oct. The car didn't feel good on the interstate after that and I knew 3/4 into the first run that it wasn't pulling any harder than it used to, which was exactly the case. My best was a 12.9 @ 109 which is garbage because the car is WAY faster on a daily basis now than it ever was before. I'll get it figured out and actually run what its supposed to.

I'll be out there next time. I might bring my uncle along in his Z06. We just have to find a way to get his tires and wheels here with him. I don't know if 640whp is going to hook up on DRs anyway.
You can make anything hook by modulating the throttle ;)
