They have been at the dealerships since Spring I think. A little pricey for a compact car from Japan, though.

They have been out for awhile, you see a few around here in ATL. I would rock one, wouldn't buy one but would drive the shiet out of it though:steering:

I am pretty sure high 12's is do-able in an E46 M3. Not sure what the new ones run.
How about a C6 Z?

How about a C6 Z?From Japan was the classification of my point. E46 M3's are low 13 second cars at best.

Ah I see what you're saying about Japan.
LOL for some reason I had Europe on my mind when talking about the ISF.. just because I group it with BMW's, etc. since it's a luxury car.
I'm mostly going by price though. And I know that low 13's is the norm.. but.. call me crazy.. I swear I heard of a few guys hitting 12's in stock M3's. =P But it might have just been that.. hearsay.
Regardless, when I said they are slow, "From Japan" wasn't my classification. Who says we should only compare Japanese to Japanese here. I go by price, luxury, and speed... assuming they are all relatively the same when it comes to reliability.

Well, let's go by price, luxury, & speed then.
Let's first overlook the IS-F's competition. Note that Inifiniti doesn't really have a true player in this game, unless you consider the new G37 adequate, I don't. Luxury is not an argument. All of these cars are luxurious & have superior quality parts being used. It all comes down to what country it originates from, & the style of powerplant. They all haul luxurious ass. The IS-F will fall right into class with the C-Class AMG, M-Class 3-series, & Audi RS4. The non AMG C-Class, BMW 335i Sedan, and Audi S4 would be direct competition of the IS350 just to show true comparison.
Lexus IS-F
Price-$56k
Speed-416-horse, 5.0-liter V-8/12.7 at 112.3 mph
Reliability-Toyota, nuff said.
BMW M3 Sedan
Price-$59k
Speed-414-horse, 4.0 liter V8/12.7 at 111.3 mph
Reliability-It's German. Has nice free maintenance program.
Mercedez-Benz C63 AMG
Price-$57k
Speed-450-horse, 6.2 liter V8/12.5 at 113.5 mph
Reliability-It's German.
Audi RS4
Price-$70k
Speed-414-horse, 4.2 liter V8/High 12's at 110-111mph
Reliability-It's def German.
So this means the IS-F is slow if you have a GT-R, C6 Z06, Lamborghini Gallardo, F430, Porsche 911, etc....... not a VW.
The IS-F is probably the best buy in the group if you are truly making the decision on the complete car and it's ownership.
