Car in Town

I saw this crazy new car in town. It lives over by the police station. I am not sure what it is I could not see a name or logo. That is why I am asking you guys.... It is yellow with grey rims. It has headlights like a mustang but looks like a civic hatch mixed with one of those scrunched up BMW's.... I am not sure if that is enough info for you but have fun trying to figure it out for me.

Haha, thats Matt Harris. APR has a SEAT Leon Cupra R here doing tuning and such. Its a european only car. Its VERY VERY sweet. Fast too. 225 hp 1.8T 6 speed FWD. W/ APR software it put down 240+ fwhp and ~260 wtq :D

I saw this badass del sol with mike the other day, it was magenta with a big ass intercooler up front, had a carbon hood with stickers ( I saw a kaaz lsd sticker, from what i remember) and it had GA plates. It was pretty crazy.

I had considered it, but the Audi game is starting to have diminishing returns. It wouldn't be too terribly hard for me to put the A4 in the mid 12's. Only need a few grand. :D

So i'm formulating other plans right now. I'm looking into oversized go-karts. Perhaps non-ghetto versions of Clint's car. :wink:

i put my car on auto trader for 5k, some guy offered me 4k through email, i told him 4.5k and he hasnt responded back, but if he was serious he would haggle me down. I saw a stock 90 DX hatch on auto trader for 6k!

Matt i will sell you mine for $4300. Thats a hell of a deal. I got new suspension too. The bad thing is that the winshield is cracked. But it has the b-series powerplant. If you went to buy a good condition hatch like mine plus the motor and suspension and wheels it would be well over $4300. fo sheezie my neezie.

Clint, you're right, it would be cheaper to buy your car. While that might make more financial sense part of the reason i'm getting this car is to have something to play with. I want to do the motor swap, etc, etc, myself. I estimate it will cost just shy of 6K to do all I want to do to it (of course that number is bound to go up because there's always something more you can do, but that's all the basics). I have friends who should be able to get me a hook-up on Honda parts, and i'm kind of looking forward to junkyarding as well. :D

Plus, i'm doing this 'cash in hand' , I don't plan on going into debt for this car, so it will be a bit longer term project. Car now, then suspension, then 15's with sticky rubber, then we start ripping her apart, etc, etc.

However, I would like to drive your car sometime just to get an idea of what my future autocross/track car might be like. :D Hit me up on AIM when you get a chance (AIM ID: silroan).

What's wrong with the motor mount? And what mounts are in your car?

I figured to use HASport race mounts.

i got redrilled stock mounts. The front mount in the car is ghetto rigged and not bolted to the block because the bolts backed out. so it clunks if i shift sometimes.

hasport mounts are really nice and firm, make the car feel much better.
