Thats what I'm talking about. Pull to up to the line. No ridiculous 30 sec burnout. No posteuring with the gayass nitrous purging. No godwful open cutouts. And run an 8. No drama.

You own a dealership; doesn't seem like it would be too hard to come by one.

Forgot to add.... HOLY CRAP..... that junk is quick.

The light was green for a second or so, then he took off...was he waiting for the turbo to spool up before he launched?

I think he was working his launch; trying to get it right. He wasn't racing so he wasn't playing the tree.

Anyhow, I loved the plate; that was a nice touch. But, when did Buscher racing become AWD Motorsports? When that car ran 9s on race gas and then 9s on pump gas it was advertised as a Buscher Racing car and now it is AWD Motorsports. Did they sell the car or did the shop get bought out?

They didn't. Buschur is in Ohio. AWD MS is in South Florida. They just happen to have nearly indenticle looking cars.

Except the car in the video above has Buscher Racing on it in two different places.

Front Bumper: 0:08
Rear Door Window: 0:20

I'm just wondering if they sold the car. Oh well, it doesn't matter at all, just curious.

EDIT:
I went back and watched one of the Buscher videos; I was probably wrong before; it looks like AWD Motorsports has a Buscher Racing Evo kit. Again, a guess, but makes more sense.

EDIT on an EDIT:
Also, just noticed the AWDM car doesn't have the diffuser above the rear glass like the Evo that Buscher runs; so, I was way off. My bad.

Well Duh. Buscher pretty much makes the end all be all for BT Evos. Why reinvent a very nice wheel when you can purchase it in a ready to go kit?

Is e85 why they are able to run 3.3 BAR?

Simple; competition.

They have buschur stickers because they have a BR Stage 3 2.0L bottom end. The turbo kit is their own.

Grider, the car runs that much boost because of the E85 and the way the engine was built. People are running a LOT more boost on these cars now than they used to and toning down the rpm. RPM much more detrimental to engine life than boost. Private guys are running 30-35 psi of boost on pure 93 octane these days with amazing results (nearly 600 whp)

FP HTA 35Rs and some HTA 86s mostly. Mellon's car is tuned on 35 psi with the stock ECU and MAF and he ran a 10.6 @ 140ish on pure pump gas.

How much money do you think it would take to take a stock car to that level?

Well, Mellon did his over time; I think Buscher and AWDM did thiers for the purpose of marketing the kits and that costs big bucks. However, Buscher's turbo kits range from $4k to $6k and a built shortblock runs about $3500 so a conservative guess of about $15k.

FP Red 9.59 @ 142 (http://forums.evolutionm.net/drag-racing/362814-fp-red-9-59-142-a.html)|vid (http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2006-EVO-IX-959-142-BBQ_176931.htm)<---- not pump though

Stock Block 10.1 @137 (http://www.tremek.com/forum/mitsubishi-videos/40118-stm-evo-10-1-137-stock-block-world-record-run.html)

So I guess:
FP Red
Exhaust
Clutch
Cams
Intake
IC and piping
Bigger Inj? or Meth? or both?

Starting with a 9 you might not need cams and you can get the stock turbo modded into a red to save money, or buy a Red and sell me the stock 9 turbo :)

David Buschur used to quote everyone roughly ~$21k to take a stock Evo and put all of his love into it(:3pjerk: ) to spit out a 650whp 9sec ride. That includes installation, tuning, parts, rebuilt tranny, clutch, fuel system, blah blah blah
