Too true. However, I'd settle for one right now; then, I'd worry about getting multiple.

Did you put those floor plates on the Mags? Also, the white/red logo and white/red fire-safety looks sweet!

My first AR is one of the ultra rare stamped "US Property" by RR, I'm pretty sure someone slipped some out the door from a government order. :D

I'll take some pics of mine tonight, & by the way I'm still jealous of your PMaggin' :D

Any recommendations on where to go and look at RRA AR-15 rifles somewhere near Auburn or Montgomery? Some place with a selection and competitive prices? Shopping online for a piece is very tough for me...I like to see it and feel it.

Any recommendations on where to go and look at RRA AR-15 rifles somewhere near Auburn or Montgomery? Some place with a selection and competitive prices? Shopping online for a piece is very tough for me...I like to see it and feel it.You won't find many places with them "in stock", it's a built to order rifle mainly. You might see a gun dealer have one for sale for whatever reason, but most dealers don't stock them, they only make sales that are submitted to be built. Gulf States in Montgomery is listed as a dealer, but I think it's LEO. However, you can def become acquainted with them at a gun meet soon. The 16" Carbine like you see in Tig's pics and mine is the most common and sought after. It's basically what our troops carry across the world. You will love the fit and finish of the rifles and want one immediately. The only problem is, that RR is about 16 weeks behind on shipping out rifle orders. This is a problem created by the combination of the holiday season, Obama, and Government contract. Rock River holds the contract for nearly all areas of government including the military and marines.

My rifle has some add-ons that include the railed forearm, forward grip, grooved pistol grip, stainless [chrome lined] barrel 1:8 twist, and tactical stock. It cost about $760 shipped a year and a half ago.

& the dealer I ordered from--Pete, I talked to him on the phone for a solid hour before ordering my rifle--he's a stand up guy.

My gun meet on the domestic board I moderate fell through for the 11th.

When are we going? I'm in, so long as it's a Sunday or Friday.

I'll bring the XD-45, and possibly a Lee-Enfield (.303 British) and a 20 gauge shotgun.

Either way, I'm in as long as it's not 50 people, haha.

thats a nice setup you got there 2Fast, the only thing i need to pic up now is a grip, i think im gonna go with a hogue. i did put those ranger plates on the Pmags, im still looking for some for you.

im in trussville(birmingham) but whenever you guys come up with a date, ill do my best to be there. with 2 kids, and weekend call, sometimes getting out of town is difficult unless i know way ahead of time, but i might be able to make it.

i bought my lower for 170, they now go for around 200. i paid 560(a steal right now) for my complete RRA upper, i went online and RRA sells them for less than 500. everything is way high and sold out.

I knew I could order one, just wasn't sure if anyone keep some in stock. I am already in love, shooting one will only add fuel to the fire. I have poked around ar15.com, considered building one myself, not sure if I want to or not. I'd really like to shoot one sooon!

once you shoot youll definitely be hooked. i ordered another 500 rounds of ammo after i shot the other day. its very addictive. you can order one, but most if not all dealers are 14+ weeks backordered. i ordered one back on Nov 15th. they told me 2-3 weeks and that was the shortest of the ones i called. well, its been 6 weeks and i still dont have it. they say they dont have barrels to finish the kits. but hopefully it will be here in a week or 2, ill probably sell it.

Shotgun Sports in Anniston had around 10 ARs for sale but they were all over a grand. Some close to 2 grand. It's a bad time to buy an AR thats for sure.

Well one was a Colt, which I guess justifies the $2k price tag. A couple were DPMS.

But they're always pricier pre-built.

You can get a Del-Ton kit for $465. Just have to add your own lower for ~$100.

Dad paid about 1500 for his S&W MP15 with an EOtech 551.A65 (the short one) from a dealer in Florida a few weeks ago. He and his friends bought 3 guns but I don't know if they had ordered them or if they were on the rack at the dealer's place.

A Rock River rifle around $700 is the best deal as a combination of quality, reliability, fit, finish, & price.

With Colt, you buy into the name though. Do I think it's better than some of its counterparts that are half the price? Hell no, but thats what they go for. Ive never seen a Colt less than $1500.
