I was at the mall, backing out of a parking place, straightened up, then this big ass day care ford huge van backed into the door of her solara. FUCK!!!

i jumped out and 2000 curse words came out all at the same time, the nice 50 yr old black woman said, OH did i hit you, "the fuck you did!" Her 20 ish fat short daughter said" DONT YOU BE CUSSIN and DISSRESPECIN MY MOMMA" I was just cussing because im mad. "OH WELL ITS JUST AN ACCIDENT, IT HAPPENS." whatever.

Hopefully her insurance will pay and hopefully the cop realized it wasnt my fault.

Total damage was around 1100. New door panel, molding, and paint ( at united auto)

The irony...

The "0ld" filter finally does great justice to the story it effects....

I find out today if it was my fault or hers. It should be hers.

Not in my experience. I was actually given a check from Geico's adjuster that was larger than United Auto's estimate.

For anal raping: see Autosport.

she decided to go with franklin. We got the quote from united for like 1130. If franklin costs more we are gonna give progressive the larger quote. She just needs the car back by friday because she has to go home.

A week is a really small window for a bodyshop. I'd be really impressed if they get it done within that timeframe and do a good job.

A week is plenty of time to do it. Heck it shouldn't take more than two days once they get started. Just hope there aren't alot of other cars in line.

You have to figure time for ordering parts, assuming the panels will be replaced. It's never a matter of how much time the actual work is going to take. Most of the time the cars sits around and waits for things to be done. The actual labor time versus the in-process time bears very little corrolation. So yes, generally, in a body shop, getting a car in and out in less than a week (unless you have strings you can pull) is pushing it.

And don't forget the bullshit time that a bodyshop has to go with it. Every body shop I've dealt with will tell you a week and you will get it back in two.

I have used united twice, and once they were a day off from what they told me and the other they were right on time. Both of mine were easy jobs though.

I was responding to the "and do a good job" part. I was just saying I sure as heck hope an body shop can replace a door panel and do a good job withing a week. Actually getting to your car on the other hand is another story. Thankfully I said that in my orginal post. :P

Quit covering your ass with semantics. You said something stupid and I called you on it. It's OK to be wrong every once in a while, even if you do drive a Type R.

They told her it should take 3-4 days, so we'll see.
