Like the title says--I tried to get in touch with Famous Amos but their line is disconnected? Maybe they went out of business? Any suggestions? I tinted my tail lights with some precut film and it looks decent but looking for something better...

If I recall, he was closing his shop and moving it to another location. Tom can chime in with his cell number.

Come to think of it, the last few weeks that I had driven by I always looked over and never saw the shop doors open nor his van out front. I wonder what's up. Hope everything with he and his family is alright; I honestly cant imagine him not doing a lot of business (just because hes always slammed) but I guess anything is possible.

How are his prices? I had to take my tint off to comply with NC laws and I want to get legal tint this time.

From Amos, probably cost you around $150-ish to have the Mustang tinted. He uses Llumar tint and does very good work..if it bubbles, you bring it back and he fixes it.

Absolutely. When Rob got ticketed for his tint "being too dark", he took it to Amos to have lighter tint put on and it bubbled. We went back the next day and Amos wound up redoing it like..4 times in the shop while we were there because it wasn't "perfect". He does exceptional work because his personal standards are higher than any of his customer's standards are. That is what makes him a great business man.

My VR-4 was done there and it's a perfect tint job IMO. I think I paid 125ish (we removed the previous old tint ourselves). I had no bubbles and there has been no rips or tears in it.

if amos is out of business, my friend got his c230 tinted at Auto Trim & Design, and it's a pretty clean job. That's Opelika, though.

The auto trim design [Montgomery] feature comes with anal lube as well, makes it a hell of a deal.

I called Amos today... He could not talk where he was, but he did close his shop and is tinting elsewhere (I believe he is at Auto Trim Design in Opelika). He said he would call me back tomorrow and let me know what's up...

Jessie in Montgomery is the best, I will have to call him and see why he said he wasn't tinting anymore. I think he isn't doing it for strangers but I might be able to get him to

Hi guys I just registered.

I'm not here to spam for my shop, but if you guys need windows tinted, Amos is working with us in Opelika at Auto Trim Design. We give you lifetime warranty on all legal tint jobs, and use Llumar or Sunguard film. I'm not a tinter,(I do spray in liners/leather interiors/vinly/signs/etc.) but I can awnser any questions you may have about it.

Price wise your looking around $195 to do most four door sedans, 175 to do a two door coupe like a Mustang or 350Z, and 75 to do two roll up windows on trucks.

Any questions or anything you want to know just ask. The shop number is 334 745 0496

Thanks, Josh
