Its true...Stimulus provides 440million for research of this serious issue
I know right...I have been walking around in a wife beater and jean shorts due to this.
I was just thinking today about how cold it has been in relation to years past. That and last year the weather was nice enough to have the windows open in the house ever day up until after 4th of July last year. Granted this is only one area of the world, but it doesn't seem to bother the Global Warming folks who only consider their particular areas as well.

If it does snow, be prepared to walk to work on Monday as I am sure the idiots around here will have even less of an ability to drive in the snow than they do on dry pavement.
Ha, have you driven in the rain around AU?? Snow will be a damn natural disaster.

Yeah, that was kind of my point; however, I think it is bad enough on dry pavement, let alone wet. Ice/snow will be a nightmare come true for sure.

the polar icecaps are INCREASING in size...the whole idea was a fucking sham...thats why most of the intellgent world now refers to it as a CLIMATE CRISIS instead of GLOBAL WARMING...because GLOBAL WARMING is just a FUCKING JOKE.
I fear for what is now SOCIAL WARMING...and thats going to fuck us all in the ass, steal our wallets, and take candy from babies...welcome to a new world boys and girls...

If you have an icecube floating in a glass of water and you measure the line the water makes on the glass then wait for the ice to melt will the new water line be above or below the old one?

Depends on evaporation.
ZOMG!
Jnic335i
02-26-2009, 10:08 PM
It wouldn't rise or fall. it would be the same. The mass of the ice cube in the solid state already raised the water line.
Veedubtrek
02-26-2009, 10:16 PM
The problem doesn't come from ice already in the water... the problem comes from ice sheets on land that after melting will flow into the ocean. They WILL raise the level of water.
EDIT ~ omg I can't believe I'm putting myself into a serious discussion about this shit... I hate all of you

nah i was trying to start some stuff. but if you had a cup of water and measured it and then put ice in it measure it then let it melt the new level would be lower than with the ice in it.
but it is still cold as fuck for this time of year in the south with no snow. fucking god damn assholes. and my goddamn room mate owes me rent and i am going to drain his fucking oil and hope his motor blows up. lol.
