My old high school buddy came out this past week to the meet and he has an 83 280zx turbo. Long story short he ran into some electrical problems and he needs a wiring harness pretty bad. A guy that was helping him do some engine work took a shit on this harness and a good majority of the wires in this harness are either toast, broken, or gone. We need either a good used harness or brand spanking new and I have not a clue as to where to start looking. I know there are some z guys here so if you could point me in a direction to getting this harness or know some one that may have one lying around it would be the tits

Most of my z-links are for Z31....here are some that might help.

Also, you could check with Ira (Foreign Automotive in Opelika) and see if he has an '83 harness.

Ira's is a good place to start. If he doesnt have it, he would know where to start.

yea, i was about to suggest Ira. i've never talked to him, but i heard he's a great go-to guy for Z stuff.

just chatted with Ira, hes got an 81 turbo harness and hes going to dig a little further... 40$ is the shit :) !

Ira is always helpful and great with his prices.

I believe the only difference in the 81 and 83 harnesses is the crank trigger part of it. 83 had it in the distributor and 81 actually had an external wheel and pickup behind the crank pulley.
