View Full Version : I saved 40% on my car insurance by switching to Subaru

Over the last few months I have been really putting some thought into moving on to something different besides my SS. I have really liked the truck but it's just SO expensive to drive. Insurance, gas, maintenance (relatively) are all pretty pricey, to the point where I just couldn't justify the cost anymore now that I'm graduated and on my own.

So after a few months of searching, I finally found exactly what I was looking for :D

2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited Wagon 5 speed
Just over 69K very well cared for miles on the odometer
Only a few mods - Cobb 3'' catted downpipe, stock STi uppipe, Cobb AccessPort
The car should make 270ish awhp and 300ish awtq with the current mods.

So far, I love it. It's overall just a super nice, quick, and well put together car. I can't wait to play with it more and just drive the hell out of it :steering:

I know it has been a giant pain in the ass but that car is so worth it. LGTs are pimp as hell. Mad Props for a rare and super nice example. Congrats again!

Sweet car Rob! There was a white LGT at the auto-x Sunday. The announcers were calling it "the fun wagon". That's definitely a NICE alternative to the SS. :thumbsup:

Awesome car man, I love the sun roof. It's good to hear you got that title issue on the SS figured out so you could get out from under it; definitely a nice setup too.

Now, when are we gonna mod it? :D

I actually might eventually (when I can afford it). It's cetainly not going to be an autox king but I think it would be fun regardless.
