We have a legitamate shot to get a Ronnie Brown/Carnell Williams duo. Amazing how well these coaches are recruiters.

Temple (Texas) five-star running back Lache Seastrunk receives mail from colleges on a daily basis, most of which he never opens.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder, ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 1 running back in the country and No. 2 overall recruit, sifts through the letters looking for just a few schools in particular.

One of those schools is Auburn. And Seastrunk just doesn't open his mail from the Tigers.

"I hang it up on my wall," he said.

This kid hasn't even been to auburn yet and his father is Luper's Preacher.

The 5-foot-9, 201-pound Dyer, ranked by Rivals as the country's No. 3 running back, took a trip to the Plains Tuesday. He arrived around noon and stayed well into the night.

He wouldn't have minded staying a little longer.

"I really enjoyed Auburn," he said. "I really loved it, actually. Everything was great. Everybody was great. I really enjoyed it there. I really did.

"It was my favorite place that I've visited. I ranked the visits that I've taken so far and Auburn came out at the top. That's my favorite spot."

This would be phenomenal if we picked up 1 of these guys but 2? My My look out I project us to be top 10/ Top 5 recruiting class for 2010

I've been very impressed with Auburn's recruiting this year. Next year seems to be going even better. I however am still a Dawg fan so i don't want their class to be too good. As long as they can go back to beating UA and any OOC game (especially WVU), i'll be supporting them.

My Dawgs have had another really good class this year. With the TE we just picked up that should move us into the top-5 this year. I am just interested to see how Joe Cox and the stable of RBs step up without Stafford and Knowshon.

We need LB's and O-line and we will be set. I would love to have Dyer he reminds me so much of Ronnie when he runs.

Auburn is looking at a runningback at my school named Corey Grant. He'd be a great pickup.

Highligh Reel (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=69699&season=2010&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncf%2frecruiting%2ftracker%2fplayer%3frecruitId%3d69699%26season%3d2010)

Pretty Cadillac-esque, if you ask me.

Make that 2 commits today. WR Shawn Kitchens. Has some pretty good measurables at 6'3/205/4.94. Maybe a hair slow, but has a vert jump of 35 inches.

A hair slow?!? He must be able to catch everything within 5 yards of himself cuz that is horribly slow for a Wide Receiver.

For some reason, Rivals has Kitchens at a 4.65 40' as opposed to Scout where I got the info in my first post.

K...he's a linebacker too.

Scout and Rivals ALWAYS has conflicting information. I just looked on Scout and it has him running 4.5 40, listed as a SLB, and when you click on his profile...they have him as a QB?? I guess when he's playing on Saturdays, we'll know everything about him. ;)

If nothing else, it proves that he is very athletic and will be able to produce wherever we need him to.

Bump as we're doing an awesome job at recruiting this year. Just got a 6'7 275lb Offensive Tackle commit.

We also just had the #1 and #2 running backs in the nation come in and visit. The #1 said we were "the best experience I ever had" and the #2 said we are number one on his list.

The #2 wide receiver also came and said we would be in his top 5 if he had a list.

There were a few others as well but these are the highlight players.

Keep it up AU coaching staff!

WTF?

Prattville's Gibson makes pledge to LSU
June 9, 2009

PRATTVILLE--Quarterback Sam Gibson is the Prattville Lions’ second Division I commitment of the year.

Prattville coach Jamey Dubose confirmed Tuesday that Gibson has verbally committed to LSU. Prattville safety Nick Perry committed to Alabama in April.

Listed as a three-star recruit by both Rivals.com and Scout.com, Gibson led the Lions to their third straight Class 6A title last season in his first year as a starter. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Gibson passed for more than 1,100 yards and rushed for more than 500 yards last season.

He is the second Prattville quarterback since 2006 to commit to an SEC school. Larry Smith, the 2006 starter and that year’s Mr. Football, currently plays for Vanderbilt.

Rumor has it that we may be getting a big pick up out of Texas in the next week or 2. I'm thinking its one of the OT's we have targeted.

I almost moved to Temple Texas for my residency. Never heard of the place, yet I see a fair amount of car guys on forums from there, recruits, etc. Seemed like a decent place, the real esate was DIRT freaking cheap.
