APR serial port programming

Some people on the vortex have claimed to have already had a trial version loaded onto their cars. Any of the APR guys care to chime in on this, and when it will be availible for purchase?

To the best of my knowledge (I was there when it happened) only 1 person actually has direct port on their car who is not an employee of APR. I have seen at least 1 other claim that i'm quite sure was false, because I was the person who tuned the car, and I didn't use direct port on it. So basically there's one person with it unless they were working with some beta testers on it today.

Yeah, I saw a guy in Florida claiming that he had the trial software installed on his car, but a post put out by APR says it wont be available until Waterfest. Obviously my inclination is to think that this guy is full of crap.

I can make a serial port programmer. All i need is a printer cable, some twine, a vibrator and an old cd player. For data-logging, i will need a tapedeck with some blank tapes

Actually, I found out they did do a trial through one of our distributors in Florida over the weekend for beta testing, so it was probably the same guy.
