so we were hijacking another thread, so i'm starting this:

anyone in or around bham, would you be interested in meeting on tuesdays?
i'm pretty sure, that me, greyson, john locke (addosx), and shallenberg (LT1NRG) would be up for this. i posted this on the vortex as well to see if i could get any interest.. who else is in bham?

day: tuesdays (never have anything to do on tuesdays)
time: 9pm? (could be earlier if the need be)
place: summit, galleria, dog track, random parking lot, I'm not sure about this one.. suggestions

FYI, summit will definitely harass you. They have the greenlight patrol people and they are strict about loitering :/

I'm up for it. Maybe something on 280 close to 459? I've stopped before for a group that met in the brunos parking lot @ the summit and was there for 30-45 min with no issues.

There's another modded 335 guy that would probably come as well.

this is gonna be the first time doing it this way, basic plans are to meet at whataburger in pelham right off of 65, go for a cruise. Likely down 459 to trussville, and then 59 back to 65 kinda just make a loop, I am sure there will be plenty of racing...

if you have seen the houston racing vids, where a ton of cars show up and just roll out, we are trying to do that, just with less cars, and alot less power. :D

We will be posting it up on ARS likely, we might not, this could be invite only. Hell I don't have a clue.

FYI

Bad idea for open meets. You end up with a lot of people who don't have a clue what they are doing and starting driving dangerously. Schedule fun runs and be selective about who you invite. Also watch out for the random "tag alongs" that you always find on the road after you leave.

Ok tonight we are having the meet at Salsaritas in SOHO Square, downtown Homewood. It's on a corner of SOHO square facing Demitris BBQ, park in the parking deck (the entrance to the deck is basically directly under Salsaritas [goes under ground]). If you don't know where SOHO Square is, get out of your cave. But seriously it's near where 280 ends and close to the big Regions building in Homewood.

So the S2K is pretty quick for sure! I must say I was surprised and impressed. I'm not sure if he has anything done but exhaust, but I have exhaust too. I'm pretty sure he would be dead even with an earlier model Z. It says a lot though because his car is 7 years older than mine and still kept up! His LSD also owns me in 1st gear. :banghead: Tried to go from a 25 kick in 1st and all I did was instant spin to redline rofl.. super cold tires surely didn't help either.

Very cool/fun race and I <3 his wotbox. :thumbup:

Unfortunately my cell phone video camera is utterly useless.. I really want a real video camera.. especially since they're so cheap these days. Oh well spacers definitely take precedence over that! lol
