Finally got the R put back togther. It was a good learning experience (pulling the head) and all in all not very hard. I also aced the valve adjustment with the car now running tick free.

For those that didn't know my timing belt jumped and caused me to nick my exhaust valve. So I fixed that and upgraded the valvetrain with Portflow inners. Slapped in all new top end seals and gaskets and put in new headbolts (supposedly they can be reused but why risk it). I of course had the hear re-worked by a machine shop. Also replaced my cam gear bolts for easier adjustment. On the down side my VAFC settings were erased, on the up side I plan on hitting the dyno tommorrow to tune both the VAFC AND the cam gears. Hoping for anything around the 190whp area.

Cool. Hope you didn't forget to put the VTEC back in.

What's a 'Portflow inner'?

Stiffer inner valvesprings. ITR has dual valve springs per valve, swapping to Portflow inners while keeping the stock outers is a cheaper yet still very effective way to run bigger cams and safely rev to 9,500rpms (if nessecary). My cams don't really need them because they are mild and I don't plan on revving past the stock redline, but it is nice insurance.
