Server Downtime

Server will be changing hosting providers over the new years break (12-28 --> 1-02)

The server will probably be unreachable for a short period of time but, hopefully the domain change should go smoothly but, we'll see.

Zen Motosports (http://www.zenmotorsports.com) is donating webspace/bandwidth for us since I'm a little cash strapped right now.

I'll keep you updated if anything changes.

Coming in the next few days the domain will begin to transfer to the new server. Now unfortuantely I have wait till the domain is transfered over to the new servers before I can move the database b/c if I move the DB now when the domain gets transfered all the posts b/twn now and then will disappear. The only other option is to disable the board until the transfer occurs.

So expect maybe 10 hours of downtown coming in the next few days...

w00t!!!!!!!!

My estimate of 10hours downtime was overshadowed by the fact that one usually has about 24-48 hours for DNS propogation but, over the holidays it happened in under 8 hours and caught me completely off gaurd, out of the state, away from my computer, drunk (new years eve), and with/out high speed net access... So 10 hours turned into about 24...

It's done...
The server change is completed now... Only took 3 hours of work

Remind me never to try to move 30meg databases again with out console access to the box...
It's a pain in the ass...

If anyone notices any thing weird going on w/ the board please IM me so I can check it out...

I'll also be re-adding some MOD (1/4mile) when I can relocate them all again as well as updating phpBB to it's newest version...
