RX-8 Driver = meh

It was a base automagic. Slow as a dog turd on v-cuts. Engine sounds weird. that is all.

I was driving in 1st gear at 7k rpm and it sounded like it was at like 1k rpm. rev limiter is weird too

yeah i raced some kid in a red one the other day. I thought they were faster :? I'll wait till the turbo kit comes out. At least they look cool though. Lots of power potential.

They only trap about 95 stock. The Mazda engineers (of all people) say the motor is really stout and should take to FI very well. Basically, they left it smooth and tame assuming anyone who wanted real power would strap on a turbo.

OOHHH mazda is in trouble. They admit that they misreported the HP numbers by approx 10hp on both of the RX-8 motors. They are now schmoozing new owners by offering free service for the life of the warranty (oil changes i guess), and are offering to buy the cars back from the new owners :oops:

really?? over 10 horsepower?? the 99~02 cobras got shorted about 25 and there was a real big stink over that. guess ford fixed the problem in 03
