Live Fire demo/shoot at Ft. Benning "lots of pics"

[FST 05]

Got to spend my afternoon out at Benning today watching a live fire demo by a group of Bradley fighting vehicles and Strykers, followed up by getting to shoot a bunch of cool stuff. Sadly they ran out of ammo for the Bradley's before I was able to get to shoot one of them. :mad:

When the Bradley's came by firing their 25MM cannons the concussion off of them was brutal.

I dont miss the Bradley at all, spend 12 months in Iraq in one. Then tell me how cool they are. Blowing things up with the 25mm was ok, but being stuck in that turret at 120 plus degrees was not fun.

I imagine that would suck, I was surprised at how cramped those things were.

It was awesome and the kick is not as bad as you would think it would be, very smooth. It was not punishing to shoot like say my HK or 8mm Mauser. Though standing in line for it was not fun cause the muzzle break points back the concussion was brutal. After I shot it I was covered in grass and sand from the blow back. When you shoot it you can hear the recoil spring pop as it goes back.

Ma Deuce was off the charts. I felt bad for the poor shmuck that was behind me that did not get to shoot it cause I used up that last bit of ammo. :rolleyes:

Sweet pictures! I got to shoot a .50 this past summer and the concussion from being up close with one is unreal. Like getting slapped in the face lol.

I was at Benning all weekend as well. Unfortunatlely, it wasnt as fun.
