Roll Tide.....Stacey and I were at the game in Auburn earlier this year and that was a heart breaker. I bet it will be an awesome game. Hasn't Auburn won the last 5 in a row?

WTF is up with the grey jerseys, Bama's defense looks typical....very strong. Now let's try and keep it up

lol i wanted to post something about that but didn't want to seem like a hater. they look like they were made by spalding that you could pick up at walmart. lol bad choice. plus i have never been a fan of the shiny uniforms.

edit: yeah bamas D looks as good as usual. we of coarse are plagued with turnovers. if we hit the 3 we stay in it. if not this gets ugly fast lol

until there is about 10 minutes left and Alabama starts thinking about that sweet Elephant ass and gives up a 10-20 point lead

LOL. they are all over the place but the refs are letting them play on both sides so thats cool. great game so far and everyone is getting after it on defense.

hey auburn, i'm second half....have we met?

once again live and die by the 3 ball. most always you will die. i just don't understand this kind of basketball......OOOHHHH wait yes i do. we decided to recruit the smallest players on the planet for 4 years forcing us to play an outside game only. great idea

I am glad Alabama didn't wrap the game up throw a pretty bow on it and let Auburn have it. Every game Alabama has lost this year they were in....and not barely either. But some way some how that managed to lose it in the end. I am excited to see what Grant will do in the next couple years. In my opinion Auburn needs to make a move and get a new coach in there before next year. New coach+new arena=could be the life support Auburn basketball needs to go to the next level. Who knows.

agreed and with the addition of shawn kemp jr maybe that will spark something as well. lebo had a good year last year but that has been it. he really hasn't done anything but keep us out of the ncaa tourney lol.

i think grant is going to do fine at bama

If they keep Lebo.....huge mistake. I am sure he (and Grant so far) is a great coach but he needs to take a page from the book Bruce Pearl wrote about promoting your program. I have seen a lot more of Grant in his first year than I have seen of Lebo in 6 years. High octane new coach and that new arena and Auburn will have the perfect recipe for a very good program. My biggest problem is they only put in like 8k seats in the new arena. Alabama has 15k+ just seems off to me.

not really. not to me anyways. auburn has their years here and there with good/great basketball but we aren't consistent with it. the basketball games are never full unless its a good sec matchup or top program matchup. it makes sense to me because of that. at least that is the way it was when i was there but idk about now.

*Understand I am not trying to start a dick measuring contest* Alabama this year has averaged around 12k per game. Alabama in the past 10 years has only been good once and that was several years ago like in 03. Yet people still show up, the new arena at 9600 (I was off) seems like a waste. If you are willing to make a commitment of that size to your basketball program ($85 million or whatever it cost) then you are saying this program is very important to us. With that being said 9600 for a top notch SEC program (which is what their commitment says they want) is a drop in the bucket. Aside from all that men's basketball won't be all that goes on in there, I just hope it is laid out in a way that adding seats won't be difficult because if they get good they will need them.

not taken that way at all. auburn bball although i love it and went to MANY games while i was there doesn't have a strong following because we do not have a consistent team. bama has always had a better bball team than auburn and usually has a good following. it would be had to fill a auburn game except big games and sec opponents. auburn bball games have always been dirt cheap especially to students so that not a problem. they just aren't as interested as they are with football. i understand that even though i don't agree.

If I wasn't going next weekend to get the dually then Houston the very next weekend Stacey and I would go to the SEC Tourney. I am excited to see how thinks shake out.

Actually I think the seating capacity is good. If it's not in a huge space, it can be very loud. Cameron Indoor holds only a little over 9K.

Damn this thread was almost entirely you two chatting until Shift6 and I ruined it. =P I was at the match earlier this year and it was pretty cool to see AU beat 'Bama.
