I am stuck at work so I am listening to it on my radio but it sounds like Alabama is doing very well against KY. This time of year excites the hell out of me and Alabama actually playing defense and staying in games pleases me. After what happened last night what do you think will happen with Lebo?

if auburn is smart they will get rif of lebo. he hasn't filled and of the expectations. i will say this. he has been at a disadvantage recruiting because of old/bad facilities but it doesn't matter. he isn't getting the job done. we need a different direction.
i have been watching the bama kentucky game. bama looks pretty excited today so thats helping them play. kentucky has looked nothing like kentucky. i have watched a bunch of their games this year and they look flat. they aren't even boxing out or going to loose balls/rebounds. its weird. BUT the second half they have stepped it up and look more like themselves. should be a good finish if bama can match their enthusiasm of the first half.

I just heard about Lebo, good job Auburn. I am not into moral victories but Alabama did very well against KY. Maybe they will get considered for the NIT. Kentucky (I've said this all year) is probably the best in the country and Wall is amazing!!!

Wait...what? I was talking with my wife and said that I thought it was amazing that he is a freshman and the amount of leadership he has on that team is fun to watch. They are good, I wanted Alabama to go after Coach Cal but they didn't, at the end of the day Grant isn't chopped liver so I am happy. Who will Auburn go after and how quickly will they move? Is it true Alabama has a top 10 class coming in?

I don't asshole, I just asked someone about what you told me that Grant was recruiting his ass off. They said, "oh yeah we have a top 10 class lined up" so I wanted to check the facts.

lol no offense but lets get real. alabama never had a chance at coach cal. i mean really now lol.
as far as a new coach for us. this is very exciting. Chuck Person has sad he would listen if an offer came up from college. he is now a assistant to phil jackson and as a GIANT LA LAKER fan i love this! chuck played at auburn and is the auburn all time leading scorer and got rookie of the year in the NBA. THIS SHOULD HAPPEN!!!!! get chuck, pay the money, this man is worth it.
other names
Scott Drew (Baylor)
Dana Altman (Creighton)
BUT WE WANT CHUCK!!!

oh and as far as bama having a top 10 class in bball recruiting. um i mean they have some good things happening there but to say its a top ten class is pushing it. they aren't even ranked in the top 25 right now. i'm not even sure they are on the radar. i could be wrong but i haven't seen anything that points to a top ten. unless they are purely speculating on what "might" happen "if" they sign blah blah.

Trust me I didn't think we had a chance but I can hope. Wonder what Auburn will have to shell out. I had no idea that Alabama paid Grant 1.8m and Lebo made 750k. I find it funny before this was announced that the point was made that Auburn saved some money on the new arena and had the extra money to shitcan him and pay a new one.

I don't think Chuck Person would be the right coach right now. I'd like to see someone who has experience turning a program around at a small school. I'd love to hire an alum to coach, but I don't know if you want to hire somebody with zero college coaching experience, even if he is a Phil Jackson disciple.
I'll support whoever they hire and if that is the direction they want to go in then WDE Coach Person...

yeah i understand what you mean but look at what he could bring. big name, better recruits interested, probably a better backing from boosters which means more money, and possible helps fill the stands a bit more. also this is a stand up guy through his career and highly respected. i'm not saying he has proved himself yet but he definitely knows the game in and out and has had a chance to learn from the greatest nba coach of all time. i think he could do a lot here. BUT this is all talk since there hasn't been an offer

They mentioned on the radio that he is in GA or something and has strong nationwide ties with the high school coaches AIHA (or whatever been a long day) that with his pro experience would make him a great choice. Think about it, in basketball players are more concerned about making it to the next level if they are really good because they dn't have to stay in as long as a football player would. Football players really focus on getting faster, stronger, and developing a skill set that will serve them better in the pros. Wall for instance will be close to the same player as he was last year in high school once he makes it to the pros.

Wow...ok they originally said they would spend 95 Million on the new arena. They actually came in for like 82 or 85M. That leaves 10 to 13M to reinvest in the basketball program that was already set aside for the arena. Does that make sense? Meaning money wouldn't be an issue, this was mentioned before the Lebo firing was announced leading to make me believe before it happened that he was likely out. I think they had to pay Lebo 2M to walk. I don't care how "dizzy" you are that is very simple to understand.
