on the way home from a long day.. broke a few parts and worked on the car alot more than expected and in the end the car gave up and we weren't able to make the call for the first final round.. Still had a great time with Donnie, Bishop, Daniel and Stephanie.. it was a great adventure and I will defiantly be bringing my ride out here next year..

I felt so poor out there. There was a 24yo with a 996TT that makes 884whp and ran 10.0 @ 149mph. There was a 25yo with a 997TT with mods. Several guys in their 20's with $50K Supras and one dude had a $150k Mercedes as his daily too. There were 20+ GTR's and not a single stock one. Most GTR's had $20K in mods from suspension to wheels to big turbo kits.

Yea there was a thread over there where they were talking about 130mph trap cars being too slow to hangout with the mid-fast cars much less the really fast cars. You definitely need to come to a TX2K - what about TX2K11? I won't miss another one after going to the first one.

The only issue the dually had was the exhaust pointing straight at the top link bar and the extreme heat from exhaust melting the bushing. It wouldn't have been an issue if I had been able to have the exhaust redone before we left but time ran out. Silverstar is shipping new Energy bushings. So I would say the dually performed well towing the 8-10k trailer. Having the rear go up and down was useful because you don't have to crank on the tongue foot to get it up, just air it up or down to connect or disconnect.

More details on this race/the vette. The vette made 1135rwhp at 17psi, no nitrous. In this race, it was at 12psi and a 100shot. The Gallardo was at its 1200awhp setting according to a gentleman who spoke to SW. These cars are stupid fast.

The short version:

The motor died because of crappy tune a year ago. The car was only pushed to about 50% anyway. Then it sat in SVPU because of some personal issue with their mechanic that does the work on my car. Had an agreement (with C&L) to show it at some mustang anniversary thing in Birmingham, so it went there with the dead motor and all. Then nothing happened for about 4 months. Finally I got fed up with SVPU and moved it to Modular Powerhouse. Modular Powerhouse got a bunch of work done but then dropped everything and disappeared to Chicago sometime in December. MPH shoved the car in some shop called Mo's Speed Shop who told me they were doing all this work when they really weren't. About a week ago I had my friend at SVPU pick the car up from Mo's and take it back to his shop. Looks like the car hasn't been touched since about October. I honestly wish I could do this work myself but it's way beyond my mechanical ability. No clue what's going to happen at this point.

They moved under very mysterious circumstances. From what I've pieced together they're out of the general aftermarket business and only doing work for some wealthy guy who was involved with designing the new Challenger.

You have Busa Shifty? What year, color and mods? I always loved the Busa as a touring bike and high speed run bike.....they are so stable. Like I said the "bike" scene there was very disappointing. I understand the cars there were stupid fast but it seemed like everyone I talked to with a bike made much less power than the guys here do. For instance a friend with a GSXR 1k has basically the same mods I had on mine with a different exhaust and he is spraying like a 50 or so and he makes more than the turbo 14 said he was.

Yeah I know what you mean. I never saw much of a bike scene in Houston, especially like what you're describing. Haven't run the busa and it's never been on a dyno as far as I know. It's running a Brock's tune at the moment which is 185-190rwhp from what I've seen on other bikes. It won't be long before it goes on the dyno for a better tune.

Edit: just watched it and realized he only included the first race between me and the vette. I wasn't ready and was in 3rd when I probably should have been in 2nd. The next race between us and the gto, I only got pulled like 1.5 car lengths haha. The GTO was spraying a 125shot and pulled 1.5-2 cars, off the spray I pulled him 4+ cars. The C6 LS3 vette has bolt-ons and made 435whp.
