14" or 15" steelies for the R compound tires on the hatch?

Also, are Toyo RA-1's worth the price difference over Kumho Victoracers. I've used the RA-1's and they're great tires, but have no experience with the Victoracers. I know they're fairly popular, but that's about it.

IMO: i don't see a problem with the 14's. i mean they will be light as shit and your tires are really going to make the difference for handling so i would say fuck it and go 14.

as for the tires i can't comment on experience, i have heard good things about the victo's but do not know anyone personally that has used them. GL

I will say this, at Little Talledega, the fastest car there(A black on black toyota supra) was running on Victoracers and he had nothing but GOOD things to say about them. He is an SCCA instructor and has run on many sets of R compounds, I will be going victoracers.

Just about everyone I know that runs highly competive in Solo2 with a Honda runs these tires, in order from least sticky.

1. Azenis - best bang for the buck, PERIOD.
2. Victoracers - alot of national championships have been won on this tire, if not most all.
3. Hoosiers - ultimate grip.

I believe the most followed train of thought would be to stick with the 14's. Most guys run the smallest rims possible that will fit around the brakes they use.

Victoracers are awesome and in a good test by GRM (multiple lap times, multiple drivers, each tire and proper heat range) they were faster than the Toyo's (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Stick with the 14s. The smaller the better in this case. And i think it's obvious about the tires.

The only problem is finding a set of cheap and relatively light 14's. Anybody got any inside trakcs? I've done a fair amount of looking with limited success.

I've tried searching, but had no luck. I went with a 15 because of the better selection of wheels and tires.

Nah cuz, you need some dubs on dat ride to bling bling around the track in style! OR, you could sport some 12" rims with 24 inch spacers on each wheel cause you know, wider is better. Or you know what, even better, do what this young man has dared to do. Pushing the performance envelope and defying not only physics itself but common sense also, bolt on another tire to the first set of tires essentiall making your car 4 wheel front drive. DSM and Audi owners take note: How cool would it be to brag to your friends about your 8 wheel drive car!

Also note the fierce paper mache and cardboard body accents.
