Remember those that gave their lives, and be thankful to those that fight for our security at home and abroad. I am thankful.

I believe it is good to talk about it. I remember that day I was in class at JSU, and the girl in front of me (kinda crazy) was talking about all this stuff that was on the news. Well, coming from her, I didn't believe a word till I finally got to a TV. All classes were called off for the day, and I left back to Gadsden (my home which isn't far away). I ended up waiting at the Red Cross for 4 hours to give blood. I never realized the impact of what had happened till later on that evening.

Same here. I had just started my new position at Maxwell AFB. I was working when someone told me about the first collision and I was like "That's a bad place to make a navigational error". Within 15 minutes, Maxwell was locked down tighter than a 12 year boy at Michael Jackson's estate.
We just this month have been alleviated from the 100% ID check at the gate. It's amazing how terrorists are viewed in the American eyes now compared to the past. We used to say "Sucks to be them", then it hit home. Hard.
