Basically if you want the rings to seat right run the piss out of the engine within the first 20mi. Especially on high rpm engines that are going to see already accelerated wear.
< figures his 60mi trip back from the dealer killed his break-in and is probably one of the reasons for his oil consumption.

I was told to give my car 500mi before any hard acceleration. But, I had to see what it had after 50mi.

Some of the most respected all motor honda tuners on H-T break there cars in immediately as well with full throttle dyno runs.
One thing I noticed with Endyn's procedure is the interval for the first oil change is at 1,000mi. The other site saying to do it after the first 20mi and every few hundred miles after makes alot more sense to me.

The biggest thing you don't want to do, is high rpm runs with a new motor. Fast acceleration and engine breaking is good for it though.
