Plans:
New tires (they look ok but in the mudd/snow these things suck ass right now)
Diff covers and seals
Front and Rear Sway bars (with such a high lift the previous owner had to remove them... seriously unsafe on the road)
F150 front brake conversion
Re-tint (took the old purple tint off today and going with 5% on the rear hard top)
Line-X the top and interior and possibly the wheels
High lift Jack, shovel, handles and other accessories for out in the bush needs
Drive the sh*t out of it :)

There are a few good trails around where I live and we have pretty nasty winters so I'll be sure to post pics along the way. For the mods that it has, it runs extremely well and really isnt loud on the highway or bad on gas (same MPG as the SRT8  ).

Let me know what you think!

Thanks man! It all worked out wayyy better then expected. I sold the SRT to a local guy here for more then carmax was going to give me without hassle. I was origionally looking for a JK wrangler ('07+) but I was being picky about cause I knew exactly what I wanted and I couldn't find anything in the price range I wanted it for. Then I find this dudes for sale on a 2002 with a solid combo of mods with seriously low miles on a rare color and had to go for it. Flew down to Florida and drove 22hrs back :O

Yea man, he takes shitty photos so the only ones that turned out halfway decent were of him in the pictures.

The guy gave me the 5.5" springs that originally came with the rubicon express lift and I was set on stepping down to those and 37's but after this weekend I'm just saying screw it and keeping the 38's. Probably going with Super Swamper TSL's in 38x15.5x15 (pretty rare wheel combo so tires are hard to find).

Vid my buddy took through a small rut. It's a total different feeling going off roading then it is racing, I love it.

When i bought mine a year ago I was sure i'd ride it through the summer then trade it in on a nice DD.

One trip to the rock trails in the Black Hills completely screwed that plan up.

Now several thousand in repairs and reliability mods later, I still put up with the hard starts on cold mornings, creaking suspension, ever rusting body panels, the inline 6 that won't die no matter how much oil I DON'T put in it. the shitty gas mileage, and a host of other things that make it what it is.

It's got soul.

It's got character.

It's a Jeep and nothing else.............that's why I love those fuckers.

Congrats on the new purchase and welcome to a hellish money pit.

You're gonna love it.

BTW...........Check out the MT Baja Claw Radials. I've been running some 33 X12.50's on mine for a year, only thing i would've changed is the size. I want 35's at least.
They're great on everything, even the road noise isn't what you would expect from such an aggressive tire. I Very highly recommend them.

The crazy rigs in the Top Truck Challenge use the claws ( in the 54" variety:O ) almost exclusively.

^^ Couldn't have said it better. Only thing giving me some issues at the moment are the brakes and the evap system. I have new rotors and pads on the way but the wheel/tire combo put a lot of stress on them. Evap system will be like finding a needle in a haystack so I'm not going to worried about it at the moment.

It's difficult to find anything in the 38"x15x? category and didn't see the MT Baja Claw Radials with that availability either (didn't look into it that hard yet though).

Got the LED's installed so people can actually see me brake and the tire swing-out can fully function. The license plate was more of a joke that turned into reality, some take offense but it's meant in good fun. I'll probably trade it for a normal plate again, still funny to see the reactions.

Here's a few from this weekend. Hit up GW National Forest around JMU and hit some trails. All in all it was kind of a let down compared to what we have locally but still a good time.

Comparing what you have to the ttc version is crazy. Completely different tread compounds and sidewall. No disrespect meant just pointing it out in case he didn't know. If possible the Toyo Open Country MT is great, so are TSLs in bias ply and radial. Though I wouldn't DD a bias ply. The Baja Claw is a great tire as well, they just seem to wear quickly. Oh, Kumho Road Venture MT also another really good choice.

Small update

Still daily driving this betch. Still doesn't have any front sway bars due to the steering I have on it. Has 3 CEL's due to evap system, not spending 6 hrs to find a pin hole leak when she drives just fine. Other then that I'm driving the shit out of her.... pics below are from two weeks ago when we pulled out of the hairiest cat tail merky poop mud swampness I've ever been in (not pictured).

Since the last pics I've dropped her down to 5.5" springs and 37x12.5'sx15. Trxus MT's with Pro Comp rims.
