So about 3 weeks ago I went and got the direct port trial for the Jetta. Now when I got to start the car I have to wait until all the lights in the cluster go out until I can start the car. Before I could just put the key in and start it up. Just wondering since I am used to that and now I forget to wait, turn over the car, and it dies.... Just wondering if some of the APR guys could shed some light on this. Thanks

how long do you have to wait?

Its just about 5 seconds until the dash lights all shut off. I was just wondering if my start problems were related to the DPP trial since it has since expired and I'm back in stock mode. Just saw some stuff on the vortex that got me wondering.

yeah there is a problem. matt told me they are working on it. it has something to do with the car being primed. matt said there is a sensor in our doors that prime the car for crank when the door is opened. anywya turning the key to the on position for about 3 secs. cure they problem. it only happens when its cold and its only happened to me on the first crank of the morning. hope that helps.

Yeah thats what I figured. I was kinda confused since everything I read on vortex said it was just a problem in chipped mode and since mine is back to stock and all. Mike, did you go ahead and pay for yours? I am still in withdrawl.
