Depends on which NSX you are talking about. The US gets the sucky base model. Japan got such models as the Type-S Zero, and NSX-R.

The NSX-R was only made in the early 3.0liter 5 speed models (a new model was just released), but is still the lightest of the pop up headlight style NSX's. It featured carbon fiber buckets, independent resivour coilovers, higher final drive, and was stripped to the bone. Very close to a race car for the street back in the day. Runs extremely low 13's to high twelves BONE stock.

After the NSX went to a 3.2 liter 6 speed the Type-S Zero was released. It was close to the NSX-R in spirit with larger diameter tires (one of the NSX-R's negatives, it wore 205/50R15's in the front), the meatier engine, and a 6 speed. It wasn't quite as light but it got the job done better in the end. I have vids (actual video tapes) of it running mid 12's bone stock with a best of 12.47.

Recently the new style NSX was released which finally addressed the NSX's problem of being undertired. A new NSX-R is now out weighing in at 2,740lbs....not to shabby if you ask me. Already it has lapped Nurburing in less than 8min (7:56 to be exact) which is hella fast. I fact I don't believe a stock Diablo has gotten close to even cracking the 8 min range.

Overall though the Z06 is a beast plain and simple and if I had the money one would be sitting outside my apartment. If money wasn't an option the new NSX-R is a no brainer.

You should see APR's 996TT. They just got it back from Champion Motorports. We took it out to take promotional pictures today, and heads were turning left and right.

The had full GT2 bodywork done to it. Also, Champion Racing magnesium wheels and prototype Champion Racing coilovers. It looks incredible now.

Yeah if we are going current exotic I'll take my Mclaren F1 as well. I don't want the crappy base model :wink: , I would have to pimp it LM style. The LM is basically the car that won LeMans' without its race restictions. It's bumped up to 670hp along with some gearing tweaks. It's not as fast as the road model (the LM will only do a lousy 225mph) because of extra downforce but it accelerates harder. The tradeoff though is that the LM's downforce overcomes its weight at only 100mph. That means it has enough force at 100mph to literally drive it upside down. That's good enough to make up for the 16mph of top end that its lacking.

Yes Joe, this one is also a quad turbo, a 60 valve(3 inlet, 2 exhaust) V12 quad turbo. With a 7.8:1 compression ratio, letting it run 1.2 bar (roughly 18 psi). To bad it sucks because of it's "bling bling" BOV :wink: :D . I'd like to see APR do some tuning on that thing, I know it's nowhere near its potential.
