Well like some already mentioned the trap absolutely sucked. I haven't been in a while but this is the worst its ever been. The first part of the night there was 0 traction off the line. Partly because they were spraying water outside the waterbox so you had to drive through it :? and they kept letting this stupid old man drive straight through the water box and up to the lights :evil: The track started getting a touch better but most of us with manual trannies were still getting crazy wheelspin in second gear.
My best of the night 14.0@98.9mph with a crappy 60'. I was getting 2.3's all night which is insanely terrible. I had to struggle just to bag a few 2.2's (heck maybe just 1).
I was expecting a little more of the car trap speed wise. Paul tuned my car Thursday and got it running ultra smooth with an awesome AF curve (or a strait line rather). I hadn't been able to get on the car for the past few months so it was feeling REALLY fast. It's of course not slow but not trapping what it use to. There are a few things probably causing this.
1. I have no idea how much power I'm making. I have a good safe AF ratio, but only the dyno can tell what the car really likes for power.
2. My timing is retarded to 14 degrees for safety reasons. I should have bumped it up but I didn't. Most ITR's run around 18 degrees.
3. I have alot of oil blow bye which of course doesn't burn as good as gas, but this is something I've always had. That said I'm sure it hasn't gotten any better. :wink:
