This is something that i am very curious about. After some recent events and other oddities i have come to the conclusion that some people do not even have a clue. Its a sub-culture where posers are easily spotted. Its not for everyone. "Outkast, pernounced Outkast... If you think its about pimpin hoes and slammin (Honda) doors then you are probably a (poser)..." ~Outkast Southernplayalizticcaddilacmuzic. I see so many people just doing whatever and not doing the research first. Its called tunning. Its not just about building. There are so many people that do not understand that. If you do not understand what is going on, dont pretend to. You only make yourself look bad. Everyone would respect you so much more if you had a car and just kept clean rather than half doing mods. Thats where the tuning starts and the building should begin. So i have this one simple question:

Why are you in the game??

Im in the game for the money AND THE RESPECT because its not just about how I stand by my car, its about how I race it with its two big bottles (big ones), leaving treadmarks on your face.

What was the question again? Oh, yeah... Is that a rhetorical question?

I'm in the game to show everyone in Auburn that Integras are the fastest and best handling cars ever. My car will be the fastest, and everyone will look up to me with great awe.

You drive a family sedan, so i wouldn't expect you to understand (j/k) :P I posted this cause i had to vent for a moment, sorry. The site was also getting kinda stale so i just started something random.

I am in the "game" because I like honda people....cause "you meet the nicest people on a honda"

Actually for the most part the typical honda tuner person annoys the ever loving bejesus out of me. I do it cause I am a stunna extodinaire.

ok I will stop now. Actually I hate when it is referred to as a game.

ok enough randomness. I will just bow and close

There is no game. Modifying your car is something you do for yourself and your own enjoyment, whether it is because you want a ride that goes fast or looks nice or some combination thereof. If you are in it for the recognition of others then it's simply a showplace for you and your ego, and is no longer truly about the car. A car is a thing of beauty and great function, it excites us in many ways from an innate aesthetic sense one feels when a vehicle just looks right to the primal adrenalin rush of rounding a corner at 90 miles an hour. If anything about your car isn't done simply because it pleases you, then you are not truly a car person, but a hanger-on, poser, or sycophant. A car is no more or less important than any other hobby in ones life, to use it to fill an emotional void is just warped.

What he said. It's about enjoyment for yourself. If you are doing it to fit in or be cool you're just wasting money.

I agree with Matt. if you think it's a game or a lifestyle then don't hang around me.

I'm in just for the fun of it all. I guess I can say its more of a hobby to me, an expensive one but still. I just grew up on cars and just love them because I guess........

What the hell does "rant" mean? (from The Family Guy, commenting on Dennis Miller's HBO show)

If I hadn't been up for 30+ hours strait studying for managerial accounting I would probably be able to understand all this, but I'm too tired.

To put his comment into context

I don't want to go on a rant, here, but America's foreign policy makes about as much sense as Beowulf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first battle of Antietam. I mean when a neo-conservative defenestrates it's like Raskolnikov filibuster deoxymonohydroxinate.
