Anyone know where you can purchase 100 octane unleaded locally, preferably this weekend?

Thanks

I should be up behind APR tomorrow for a few hours, around lunch time I would say. Working on the hatch. If you drop by I can hook you up with some 100.

Thanks for the offer Matt, I worked until 3:30 today so I didn't get your message and you weren't around when I stopped by.

I didn't think about APR, they help us out from time to time so I'll stop by on Monday. We have 10 gallons left, and looks like we won't be dynoing until tomorrow so it should be enough for now. Damn thing sure sucks down the gas at full load, takes about 15 minutes to go through 2 gallons.

We are getting a couple more drums in, just might be a week or so so we need enough to tide us over until then.

Do you know by any chance what brand they have so I can check the specs vs. what we usually run?

No problem, I got out of there about 3 o'clock, so you probably didn't miss me by much. Just ask for me when you drop by and we'll get you taken care of. Have you guys done any dyno work yet this year? I'd be realy curious what kind of numbers you're are pumping out of that little thing, and perhaps some of the tuning details as well. For reference, we use Sunoco GT (100) and Sunoco GT Plus (104).

Cool thanks. Yes we've done some dyno work but just for baseline numbers. We dyno'd a stock F4i with our 2003 manifolding and fuel map a couple weeks ago. Now we are going to compare that with the engine I recently finished building. The only steady-state difference will be the compression ratio which is going from 12:1 to 13.76:1. There is 5 lb less internal rotating weight but that won't be seen until we do the chassis dyno and see inertial effects. So right now we are trying to quantify what the compression ratio is doing for us.

Of course once we get the 04 manifolding we'll be remapping the whole deal once again.

Sunoco GT is what we run at competition, so that would be ideal.

I'll stop by Monday thanks

Well, thanks for the offer Matt and we might still stop by, but we had some engine trouble and won't be doing any dyno work for awhile. :x

Hey Matt, just wondering but how much do you guys sell Sunoco GT?

we don't sell it, it's for tuning purposes. I just knew Charlie was looking for it for the FSAE car, and we help those guys out from time to time.

YOu live in B-ham sometimes right Roach...get up with "anderson" , there is a gas station that sells race fuel "at pump" near the race track up there...you probably know what gas station I am talking about

The one near Steele or the one near Lassiter? If I buy, I normally just get it from Walker in the 5 gallon containers. Thanks for the reply Matt. I figured that was the case since I'd never heard of anyone purchasing it from you guys before.

Where at on 280? Is it at the pump or inside the store in barrels?
