i am so cool that i locked the key to my project rally car inside it. i am also too cool to pay for my mistakes and i was wondering if anyone has a slim-jim or other lock picking skillz. thankfully i took it off my keychain, so i am not totally screwed.

If you didn't have door panels, which you shouldn't, then it would be easier. ;) Did you try a coat hanger? Are the doors manual or electronic locks?

if they are electric locks, try rapidly removing the - battery terminal.

Dont even think about breaking the glass with a rock. It would cause quite a mess. I'd suggest drilling a 6" hole in the roof of the car and throw in a very dynamite charge or very small amount of C4. Make sure to plug the hole. The explosion will set off a shockwave which will break the windows and send the glass outward, away from the vehicle. There will be hardly any glass to clean up inside the car.

nah, i broke down and called A-1 to unlock it for me. i then went and got a key made for $1.42. could have saved $30 if i hadnt been lazy about getting the spare made sooner.

i actually did consider drilling a hole in the rook or door panal and using a coat-hanger. however, my drill bits were locked inside the car too.

For future reference, I have AAA..and if I were to come hang out with you for like 20 minutes while the AAA guy came and unlocked your car it wouldn't cost either of us a dime. Sorry I didn't so this post earlier... :!: :!: :!:

Well that is if you were somewhere near Auburn...ATL is a little far for a 20 minute favor. I don't now where you are here or there.
