Basically they throw out a bunch of 3's and let you drive a road course. The best out of each event (across the country) gets a free trip to do the same thing at the nationals in Laguna Seca to drive the new 3Compact car.

If anyones intrested it's in ATL (Road Atlanta) next weekend June 12th and 13th.


A few people from my work and myself are planning on doing it on the 12th in the group around starting @ 1:20pm..

I'm prolly going in group 21 (starting @ 1:40 since the 1:20 group is full)

Me too. I went on Sunday. I'm not much of a driver but I had a good time thrashing those cars around the course. :) I think the pro driver time was a 32.xx and on my first run I got a 39.5 and on my second a 38.5. I improved which is a good thing. :D

HA... went sunday..

Ran a 37.441 (454 index) on my first run then ran a 36.8 (but, murdered 2 cones in the final salom).

BTW... be glad to have gone on sundays... Saturday was murderously hot... 100 degrees in the shade..

Yeah but it was rather moist on the track. It lightly rained part of the time. Wasn't too wet though. My 38.5 was a 408 index.

First run 40.55 I did not remember to shift duh!!
2nd run 38.45 murdered 2 cones. Damn

Ha, I missed last years and vowed to not miss this years. I signed up and paid at least 4 months ago, then turns out I went to the beach during the same time... so I missed it.
