I am thinking about purchasing the 3" turboback exhaust system by B&B for my SRT. Few questions first. I know that buying this kit will make my car a little louder. But you have to choose the resonator or the cat (for $+225 more). Which should I get? What would be the difference? Forget about emission laws. Would getting no cat do anything to my car? Would performance be better? The only thing that I am worried about with just getting the resonator and the car sound like crap or it is WAY TO LOUD.

Well I think that I just answered my own question - The SRTs don't come with a muffler. Just a cat. So there therefore if I just got the resonator I would be running straight pipe, that would be WAY TO LOUD!! I guess that I'll just go with the cat for freakin $255 extra. How about this question . . . wideband gauge. How does it hook up into the piping? I believe the SRT comes with 2 o2 sensors. Would I just take one out and replace it with the wideband sensor? Or just drill and tap another hole for it?

drill and tap another hole for it, towards the back of the exhaust. mine is under my rear seats.

Apparantly there are some widebands that offer a calibrated output to simulate a narrowband. But if you don't go that route you need another plug.
The cat will rob you power a bit. You might consider running the resonator and adding an additional straight-through muffler. Turbo cars aren't terribly loud, the turbo muffles a good bit.
If you lose the cat, you will throw a catlyst efficiency code. The second O2 sensor is after the cat and measures the cat operation. In that case they make O2 sensor emulators to replace your secondary O2 sensor, and you could then use that bung for your wideband (if you were running no cat)

What he said.
Cat's take power, don't use one. Just get the res. and your car will sound good.
And who cares about CEL's heh.

the resonator or the cat
get the resonator...it won't be that loud, i've heard an srt4 w/ NO exhaust (straight out the down pipe) and it wasn't that loud.
