My home town (Pensacola) is fucked. Everything I knew and grew up around is now very different. The beach where I used to surf might not even be there when I go home. I think my house is not too badly damaged, but the rest of my home town is really screwed up..

exciting.
Maybe it created an even better place to surf though.

I doubt that he meant exciting in a GREAT way...like sometimes battles in a war can be defined as exciting...and perhaps it did create a new place to surf...this is an exciting event in our time...it will reshape places and people...hence it is exciting...
its horrid what happened...in all hopes the people you know and love are safe...that is the most important thing
damn dude that sucks. sorry

Jesus I didn't mean it like that. I meant that this storm was actually huge, and most people didn't really expect it to be, or at least people around here. I was up this morning watching what was going on near the coast (where the storm actually did something) and it was exciting.
I only made the surfing comment because I surf too, and it's true... there's a possibility that something great as far as surfing goes can come out of this. It was at least one good thing to look at.

Even If it did create a new bar (which is unlikely) on the beach, there would be no way to get to it since part of the bridge going to the island collapsed, and the roads are washed away.

Sorry about the misfortune Jason....I hope your stang is alright after that as well.
Sorry to hear that man. I grew up in mobile. I happened to put on my Sea n Suds shirt today which is a seafood restaurant on the water in Gulf Shores. I'm guessing that restaurant is destroyed now because it was literally out over the water with a dock leading to it.

Holy Shit Sea and Suds...right next to the board walk. We used to always stay in that condo on the left side.
Jason I will go down there with you next weekend to help you get your car back up and running, and to check on your place. I hate that it had to strike a place so near and dear to my heart...and yes I have Jason to thank for my love of dear ole P-cola.
