I am no longer the owner of the 17 sec RSX. It is now presently at Dyas Toyota/Nissan. Oh well.

I am now the proud owner of a 1999 Red Prelude  I am having so much fun with it already. And, now since my payments are much lower, I will be able to afford mods for it.

Congrats, My GF has a 1997 Milano SH Prelude too (Same body style). Sport shift or 5 speed?

I think it's an automatic. I've seen it up there before.

If its an auto, ive heard bad things about that tranny. Then again, some people are running JRSC's with it.

Honda-Prelude.com has a whole forum dedicated to sportshift complaints.

they call it sport shift to make you feel better for buying an automatic.

I test drove one of the sport shifters about a year ago. It was a nice car but the sport shifter wasn't too good. It would still engage the gears pretty slowly and was just wasn't very responsive to what you were telling it to do. There are better "tiptronic" shifters out there i would imagine. It was still a nice car though, and still a lot faster than mine. I hope you enjoy the car.

So far I am enjoying the new car. I have always wanted one, so I am finally satisfied. Yes, it is an automatic. I had no choice when it came down to whether or not I would get an automatic or a manual. My mom gave me no choice. Si, I am stuck driving an automatic anything for now.

Time for some mods. Why didn't your mom let you get a stick? It's not hard. :D

The car looks great. Good choice if you ask me. Plenty of power and easy to live with. Now we just gotta get you to auto-x it.

You two are hillarious! This board is not uptight at all! It seems pretty relaxed to me anyways. More up tight than a Honda Tunazz board, but thats not a bad thing.

Maybe so...Just seems like everyone likes to jump on my ass whenever I say anything.

I used to think that way, and maybe still do. Let me pass on the advise that was given to me......It's all in the way that you take it. I just don't give a shit anymore, I think that all this mud slinging and dog fighting or whatever you want to call it is fun. Join in.

Since this post is off topic I figured it would be okay to contribute.

This is a quote that I came acrosss today. Some of you may have already heard it.
"Without the bad there can be no good... Thank God for Dodge Neons!"

Not trying to start anything. It was just too good to pass up.

I'm sure...
If you didn't know the stats on the engine already

Engine Code: H22A
Displacement: 2157cc
Compression: 10:1 (In Lude's only higher compressions are the S and SiR which arn't US cars)
Horsepower: 200@7000rpms
Torque (lbs): 156@5250

Much better than the RSX

Engine Code: K20A3 (Same engine as the '02 Civic SI)
Displacement: 1998cc
Compression: 9.8:1
Horsepower: 160@6500rpms (Gained: 40 hp)
Torque (lbs: 132@5000 (Gained: 20 lbs)

The only negative aspect of the trade was that you gained about 200 pounds (*cough*... Umm.. the car did :D)

But, quite frankly asthetically I prefer the body of the 5th Gen Lude's over the RSX's anyday...

If that little girl gained 200lbs, she'd probably be about 9 feeeet wide.

if you want to get picky, its an H22A4, which is a bit different than the origninal H22A.
