I am creating graphs in various programs (MATLAB, Excel, etc) modifying them in photoshop to make thew headings, etc more clear. Then I insert them into Word. I have to do this because its a defined template (paper to be published). They also have to be grayscale (which they are in photoshop)
Anyway the graphs pictures are very blurry. They are sharp in photoshop, and also decent resolution.
I have been saving the .psd files as .tif for inserting in Word. Is this the best format? If I open the .tif in Photoshop they look fine, but in word they look like shit.
Please help, as this is something I must figure out tonight.
Thanks!
Feel free to Im me at ChPing3 if you'd like to look at these files.

I cant get it to do that, I just opened a tif in word and it looks fine...good luck man. If you save them as a high quality jpg it should look just as good as well as being a much smaller file. can you post a graph that you need to use, I'll work with it for ya and see what I can do.
you can save teh jpeg as a higher quality file. you can also try the filters to sharpen the pic to remove some of the blurriness.

Thanks. Immediately after I posted this my internet went down. :?
I tried jpeg too, even at max quality it looks fuzzy. It doesn't look pixelated, just unfocused a bit.
Anyway I'm having to pretty much go with it, at least for now. But any other advice is appreciated.

Figured it out :D
Word was resizing the graph images for me, instead I clicked 'reset' in the picture toolbar, then manually resized the graphs in word. 200% better!
