These guys have an all-HTML site which they uploaded, and I get this email:

The way the IIS is set up on the web server is allowing us to download the source code for the website. This is a potential security risk. Could you please look at this?

the funny thing is, this person CC'ed like everybody at their company. Clients like to make sure everyone is aware when you do something bad.

I 'replied to all' to make sure everybody is aware that their IT person is a complete dumbass.

its a woman. go figure. Heres the latest:

Sorry I wasn't clear in my last message. We have been able to download all the javascript source code and the code for the calendar. The calendar is what I am worried about the most.

I think the best way to fix it is NTFS and lock down folders only to the account that IIS is running under.

users are able to download javascript code. OMG!! call the cops!

Hahahahaha, what a dumbass bitch. How the hell can a client run code IF IT DOESNT FUCKING HAVE THE CODE!!! She tries to be all technical by throwing in acronyms that she probably can't even begin to comprehend.

Adds a whole new meaning to IT Bitch.

Yes, the host of acryonyms about what "her" solution would be is funny. What's sad is how basic the dilemma really is.

It's quite obvious, just use a secure SSL connectin to lockdown the folders via NFTS so that the source is only available to IIS account holders. Just imagine if this javascript calender source code were to get out. That one person on planet earth might...might...MAKE THEIR OWN CALENDER! THE COMPANY WOULD BE RUINED!

Send her an email with the subject line "The new 100% secure website" and leave the body blank. ;)

Last week, she called and said 'I need information to get to our FTP' so I made her an account, gave her the username/pwd and to use her domain for the host.

She argued that the ftp client needed an IP address for the host so I told her, ok, just use the hosts IP. Then she was all 'I wasnt given the IP address'.

1. Doesnt know to ping a freaking domain name to get the IP
2. Thinks that the FTP client NEEDS the IP.

bah!!!
