Got my rom burner and driver set up and burned my first uberdata base map. The car cranked right up and idled instantly. The idle started flucuating a little bit but nothing major. The chip set is really crammed close on one side so pulling it out equally is kinda hard. I bent a few of the prongs which is gay, but I'm sure I'll figure out a way to remove it damage free.

I also had to figure out the puzzle which is the GM 3 bar map. My plug adapter was all in pieces and I couldn't find directions anywhere. I think I figured it out. I soldered some leads to the plug prongs and pressed them into the clip with the little rubber seals that I assume slid on the prongs. Anyway it plugs and unplugs from the map sensor now and the contacts seem to touch really well so I guess that's all tha matters. Now I just have to figure out which vacuum source I'm gonna tap or if I'm gonna make a new one. Some people like the MAP to feed off a single line instead of from one that's already been T'd into. We'll see.

Now all I really need is to find the proper Nokia USB cable so I can data log with Uberdata, oh and a wideband would be good. Jess gave me a suggestion on that if I don't go with the PLX.

If I get the Nokia cable and data logging setup before my wideband I might just drive to AU and steal Jess's for a while. The hatch is just begging for that additonal 50whp (or whatever it will take to blow it up). ;)
