He hasn't made much progress as of late. He's a lazy ass. He has a big turbo and a big intercooler now though. :) It's like 3 ft wide. It's ridiculous!

You know, instead of being a prick about everything, why don't you tell us a little about the IC? Bar and plate or tube and fin? CFM rating? Inlet and outlet size? Or do you not know any of those things?

its tube and fin, 3 inch inlet and outlet centrally located, and it flows more air than god. Comically enough the turbo that its going to be recieving the blowjob from flows approximately 62 lb/min at a PR of 3.

if you want to know the cfm's you look em up. the math was done a long time ago on this end and i dont really care to completely indulge your noob ass.

I might be a noob on this site, but you are definitely a noob in the social skill department. I'm more than capable of carrying on a normal conversation, but the level of shit you throw only gets it returned.

Edit: I was going to ask you some more about your turbo, but you are obviously too arrogant to contine. I'd love to look up the turbo but your dumb ass won't post what it is.

yea because i've had this problem from day one, with everyone on the board, not just you.

and I've already posted just about everything anyone could want to know about the setup, i'm not posting it again. if you want to know, go look.

it started when he pitched a fit about the track story.
I can't help it if he gets incensed that a 15 year old station wagon trapped a mere 1mph slower on its first outing since the manual swap than his gti.

I dont care who he is, what he is, why he is.... he was cool as hell in person but apparently by keyboard he turns into the worlds single greatest automotive tuner and know it all..

That isn't my fault...

What is your fault is that you lied about the story. It has nothing to do with how fast the car is. There will always be faster cars out there. What it does have to do with is you coming on here and lying about the "waylaying" as you put it. Now put your keyboard where your mouth is and show me where I claimed to be a tuner or know it all, or even acted like one.

As for your turbo build up,

i'm sure i could overwhelm the bottom end with boost alone (should start poping at the seams around 350-400) the injectors would max out somewhere above 300 wheel, should be enough for low 13's high 12's, car ran a 14 flat at 200 wheel with mostly factory shit. here's hoping....

Sounds like a nice project. Should be a fun little package. But I have some plans of my own that will materialize very shortly. We'll have to compare when they're both up and running. Maybe you assumed I was a know it all and knew about your planned upgrade already, but I didn't. I was just asking ?'s. You are the one that gets all defensive everytime I post on here all because you weren't man enough to admit that you lost the race to me. I would have never said anything about it if you hadn't posted it the way you did.

And finally, your IC is way to big for your power goals. Hope you aren't going to use 3" piping.

ok i'm sorry if you took waylay to mean boat lengths.. side by side at the finish, and the volvo trapped higher, but I think you tripped the lights .002 faster or something like that. It was a good race.

Then you jumped up in here throwing claims around without doing any background research (clicking on the tech forum and reading about the buildup). It is indeed a large intercooler. The turbo feeding it is indeed a large turbo. I don't plan on having to upgrade the plumbing later on, forgive me for planning ahead. It very well might be overkill for the current application, but I dont recall anywhere saying that I was going to stop and take a small step back when i nuke the bottom end out of the car.

However if you want to talk about thermal efficiency and heat sinkability, I dont belive its too big, the more the merrier, and it would be nice if the inlets were 2.5, but thats not always the way the ball bounces. And on the remote chance that i dont like it, I can get my money back out of it (and maybe even make a little)

and if you'd like to try the wagon on again (if you're man enough) i'm sure it can be arranged, a few things have changed since then

Indeed, it was a good race. So where are the claims I threw around? And upgrading once and only once is the smart thing to do. Thermal efficiency and heat sinkability of course won't be a concern, that thing is massive. When I said overkill, I meant in terms of pressure drop. Because every turbo owners like to spool a little sooner. 8) As for your 3" inlets, just run 3>2.5" couplers. You let me know a time and I'll run the wagon again, no problem. Just have to have both cars/drivers available. I fixed a few things on my car as well.

See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

Bah, you are thinking like a K03 owner! I would like my turbo to spool up later...but that would mean a bigger one on the car, which is fine by me ;)

No, I made that statement assuming we meant every turbo besides the K0x's. Hell, I can't help but spool sometimes with my pea shooter.

I know, I was trying to be funny. Either way, I'm happy with my stock turbo, its big enough for 400 whp on race fuel which is all that I really realistically need (so I keep trying to tell myself ;))

True.

Hey if Kenny uses the "my car is a family car" excuse all the time can I start saying that about my Honda's? Oh wait, nobody cares.

On another note, its starting to storm here again like a mofo. Glad I didn't start on that clutch install.

The way it's going now I estimate the year 2020.

Seriously I just sent the head off and hopefully be taking care of the block here shortly. Between work and school it's hard to get motivated about spending my day off doing anything besides being lazy or having fun.

I hear ya on that.. I go home on the weekends and its always "hm, do i crawl under the oozing car or do i chill out, knock a few back, and then go raise cain with roto and my montgomery homies.

we all know which of the two has been winning out this semester haha
