I kind of want to order HL-2 but dunno if my mediocre computer'll run it as nice as I want it to run. I know they're making it so even a POS voodoo2 card can run it but meh.. i don't want to be able to count the visible polygons on 1 hand.

There is no way in hell it will run on your machine if you have a voodoo 2 O.o

You need something that supports DirectX 9 natively, so you are looking at Radeon 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800, and the x Series for ATI and GF FX and higher cards for nVidia.

No no, I don't HAVE A voodoo2; I just read that the extended release dates were partly due to them trying to make even shitty computers able to run it (yeah i know about the code theft and all of that too :-P). I got a decent machine, Athlon 2600xp barton, geforce4 5200 256meg, 512meg OCZ PC3200, soundblaster audigy zs (i think that's the name), 5.1 surround sound ;) not TOO great not too crappy either.

and I accidentally purchased CS:source+halflife2 this morning :'( So if I can't run it guess i'm forced for an upgrade now.
