I don't get it, its been doing it for nearly a year. It doesn't matter what kind of image file I am attempting to save, it automatically saves it as a .bmp. It can be a .gif, .jpg, .png, the computer just doesn't give a fnck! Sometimes when it feels like being nice it'll save in the same format as the picture actually is on the webpage. Also another thing, for some reason I can't view the webpage "source." I'm running Windows Advanced Server 2000 and it doesn't do anything if I click view and then click source from the pull down menu. Also just like the whole .bmp thing, sometimes it will let me view the source, but only at the same time that it lets the .bmp thingger majigger work. What the fook B rong wit my shiz?! I've reset everything in internet options etc...all to defualt...still no worky : ( any help? suggestions? Thanks...propa out. Marinated water.

No our problem is still there. Last night my net wasn't working at all, pissed me off! If I clicked a link or tried to go to a URL it wouldn't work the first time... and would take forever. Then if I hit refresh, after forever again it would finally load. And it was weird, if I'd click successive links over and over really quickly they'd all work fast... but then after like 30 seconds of browsing it would fuck up again. GRRR.

I'm using XP btw.

Clear you internet cache. Tools - Internet Options - Delete Temp Files.

Use a browser that is not complete shit and you will not have that problem. :asshole:

I did some research and found what the culprit of the problem is. What it is you got a pesky virus at one point(can't remember the name) that deletes some registry keys and DLLs needed by Windows to translate between different file formats. This will happen with ANY program that uses the Windows API to save image files. Mozilla happens to have it's own internal files so it has nothing to do with being a "superior" browser.

Personally, Opera (http://www.opera.com) is infinitely better than Mozilla. Sure, you have to pay for it... but if you guys weren't commies you wouldn't mind buying something :D :D :D

This man is correct :cheers2:

Clear the internet cache to fix the 'save' thing...

Then go download Firefox... Only browser I use
