How do you get 16 with 2 accounts?

How do you get 16 with 2 accounts?

I have 10 in one account that I have never given out an invite off of.
I have 6 in my other account that I have given out four invites from.

I have no idea why I ended up with 10 in that one, but the other day it went from 6 to 10, and my other account went from 2 to 6, so i guess they gave out 4 invites to everybody for christmas....
