I was paying my rent a few minutes ago and in SSQ Phase I was a group of about 4-5 police officers (I'd make that assumption because I'm about 90% sure they were carrying sidearms, it was dark so I can't say 100%) standing around SSQ Phase 1.

All in unmarked cars (A green early 90's Vic, and a white 70's firebird) and standing around.

Now I don't live over there and I don't really care what they were doing but, their shirts clearly said "CPD" on the back of them?

What the heck is that? I can't think of a town anywhere near here that starts with a C. And why would they be over here?

Anyone have any clues?

Ive seen it too. I think my resident manager is one of them, he looks like a cop, but isnt, and has CPD on his car, with a magnetic sign.

It's a CPO not a CPD. It stands for Crime Prevention Officer (basically rent-a-cops). They have been coming around SSQ a lot more often now. I heard from someone that they were looking at the tire tracks infront of my apartment and measuring them 8) .

I saw two of these guys in the Eagles West parking lot a few nights ago. Didn't notice any sidearms but saw a taurus.

I see some of those guys everyday! They direct traffic at my school. :lol: really.

They told me at the begining of the year that if I didn't slow down driving through the parking lot that they would issue a ticket. I dared to ask how much it would be......they said $5. Should I be scared? :shock: :lol:
