my mehanic showed me the distributor on my clip and its cracked so it wont plug together? is he mixed up?

If your mechanic saw a distributor on an SR20DET, it either isn't an SR20DET or he's smoking crack. SR's have a crank angle sensor and 4 coilpacks while KA's have a distributor and a single coil. Find a new mechanic. For real.
