I need to reformat my computer and have ~11 gigs of music that I want to transfer over... I don't feel like burning a ton of CD's because it's such a pain. Does anyone have one that I can borrow for a day?.. or an alternative?

Thanks in advance!

That sounds dirty.....

If you really can't find anything I can open up an FTP site for you to dump to.

Wiggie, wouldn't it take forever to upload 11 gigs?

It could, depending on your upload speed. That's why I said, if you can't find anything else. But seriously, if you need it, I can hook it up.

11 gigabytes = 88,000 megabits

88,000/256 megabit upload = 343.75 seconds = 5 hours 43 minutes

I'm with weed on this one. If you're networked, just send them to their machine temporarily.

DVD backup copies would be a smart idea though. I've got about 8 or 9 dvd's full of MP3's that I keep just in case something catastropic happens.

Well I don't have a DVD burner and can't afford one right now. Even if I could, I'll never spend money on my computer before my car. Anywho, my roomates would never let me do that... d-bags. So Wiggie, could you be kick ass and help me out with that?.. I'm sure I could make it up to you some how. ;)

I will, it might be a day or two before I get to it. I'm doing timing belt, water pump, acc belts, radiator, thermostat, etc tomorrow.

Just send me a set of Koni yellows in return. ;)

I can help you out. I wouldn't mind some free music anyway, and I just bought some space. I'll PM you the ftp details.

Ok so I have 23 gigs of stuff. I just started putting some on CPMavs space and based upon some basic math and how long it took that one file, looks like it will take ~40 hours to finish lol. Should I just do it?

BTW, do you actually have that much online space?

LOL....if you have that much data you want to save, you might as well go buy a second internal hard drive. That way when you want to reformat, you just format the first disk.
