Sounds like fun, i've been wanting to make it back to the strip for a while. Probably won't run my car, have some maintenance stuff I need to do on it, and I want to wait for it to get cold too.

I'll be there. Hopefully the humidity won't jump from 39% to 98% as soon as we go into montgomery like last week.

Hopefully I will be out there, and by about that time there should be some large AERC caravans to the track. We might pass you on the way ;)

The inner one.
Ive heard that you are suppose to put silicon lube on the boots because lowered cars make the "flaps" rub together and split.
hehe that sounded dirty.

Ok who's going to the track tonight???
I think everybody had a rough plan of leaving here around 5:30pm, no thats not everbody get there at 5:30, we'll probably leave a little earlier than that, so be at the Intramural fields a little after 5:00. (And no Chappy, that doesn't mean 7:45  )
The reason we want to get there early is because all of the serious drag racers will be tuning thier cars in the parking lot, and the track will be empty and since most of us don't have to do anything to prep, we can just do run after run. If we wait, the staging lanes will fill up and you'll be lucky to get 3 runs in for the night.
So everyone who wants to go we'll meet 5:00pm at the Intramural fields. I figured it would be easiest to meet there since everyone knows where it is. Let me know if thats cool with everybody, post up.

I'll be there. It's true about getting there early. The last time I went I got 21 runs in and I left an hour before they closed.
How long does it take to get there and how much does it cost. Is it a 1/8 or 1/4.
I think ive asked this before, i just have a shitty memory

It's $10 to race (unlimited runs) and $5 to watch. It's a 1/4 track and they post your 1/8 times on the slip as well. It would take the normal person an hour, but we usually get there in about 40-45mins. Scott with the Valentine One is going to be heading up the front of the line :metalhea: .

I'll be there, but not running my car.
Don't know about you guys.......the weather say Isolated T-storms. Jimmy, humidity is at 83% ......so we are going to be running for shit, anways.....I am considering next weekend. What is everyone else thinking?

The radar looks fine to me, I never trust the idiot weather forecasters anyway. The clouds look mean but there is no precipitation showing in all of Alabama. Yeah the humidity will suck, lets just hope that the clouds go away so we don't have to worry about it. I say we go as planned to the Intramural feilds, and see how it is then.

agreed. It's only 79 degrees right now, so it may cool off even more, which will be good in spite of the humidity. And a little rain this afternoon could help with that, as long as it clears up before this evening.

We should all be down there unless it's raining. We'll probably be drinking after the track at my place, all are welcome to come, the kegerator is still holding up. I think this is a record, we've had a keg in our house for 6 days and it hasn't floated yet, probably b/c we got it on a sunday :? .
BTW, Welcome to the board 1BoMeXLex. Are you running tonight?

I'd let you have it if i was driving. Hehe! But what i was saying is I call someones trunk.
The weather is actually looking pretty good...
Anyone who is a pilot and wants to double check how I'm reading my MRF and MOS model's please do so...
Here's how I'm decrypting the models
Time Temp Humidity
5pm -- 84 --- 59
6pm -- 82 --- 63
7pm -- 80 --- 68
8pm -- 78 --- 74
9pm -- 76 --- 79
10pm -- 75 --- 83
11pm -- 74 --- 85
12am -- 73 --- 87
Although the temperature looks right I'm kinda twisted by the humidity factor.... Yall's decsion..
ActiveAero

I'm not sure. Supposedly the lower temp can actually raise the humidity due to the cooler water vapor dropping back into the lower atmosphere regions or some junk like that. Don't quote me.

Oh and I will be at the track (weather permitting) running full interior with the exhuast hooked up.

Just called MMP:
Blue skies with a few clouds. It's not raining there, there is a 20% chance for later which is good, and humidity is 78% 8) I'm still going.
I'll be over at the Itrm. feilds in like 45 mins.
I just figured out why my car was so slow...cuz its an F22 prelude with 200lbs of extra shit.
Just kiddin, that night was pretty cool and my bottle pressure was only like 850-900. Today, i drove to lunch and the car had been sitting in the heat all day and the pressure went up to 1200. It was a big difference. I was prolly running like a 20-25 shot at the track. I probably would have gotten low 13's *cough*
