Which do you like better and why? I prefer road racing because it is the most challenging and most fun in my opinion. I drag race too because it is a blast but I've pretty much mastered it in terms of my car in a realitively short time. Road racing/auto-x is another story and I'm sure there will be guys handing me my butt for years to come thus pushing me to become better at it.

I dont know how my car handles, the sus is shot and it bottoms out around corners when pushed to the limits. It would be nice to auto x it but due to lack of funding, i cant afford parts.
I want to try ass sliding in an FR car. Maybe some day.
I like all 3. I dont think I could just choose one.

Well I don't think you can really clump road racing and auto x together, they are really very very different.
I like Drag Racing because it really shows the potential of the powertrain of the car. I really like engines, and that's the best way to compare them. But I'd rather drive a road race or auto x than drag race.

AUTO - X all the way!
basically it gives me a great challenge and it gets me high when i'm out there. my car is set up more for auto x type races anyway. its got great low end power and handles nice. top end well lol...it just sucks!!
Ive autoxed and dragged, but I think i'd enjoy road racing the most. I like to watch it the most too, and smell it too *sniff* ahhh
All of them.........drag racing because it is cheap, easy to get to, and not hard on your car. Street racing, because you never know what the other guy has, and road courses because it encompases all the elements of racing in general. The launch from the start, the apexs in any type of turn situation, the proper racing line in decreasing radius turns, heel-toeing or any variation of the form when selecting the right gear for the turn, and braking when findind your braking points for turns throughout the track. We all know what is the most expensive and hardest on the car. Thats why broke college kids like myself haven't been on tracks yet, well, no money and no car. Drag racing is pretty easy to master, hit the 60' and the r/t if you want and you have master DR. Everything else takes a little time and some practice

Road racing for sure. It takes the most talent. You could put a monkey in a car and it could drive in a straight line. No offense to drag racers though. :D

Honestly, I'm into no racing because my car won't do or win shiet if I was to road or drag race. But if I had a chance, it would be drag racing. :D

At least I can say I've put my car on a road course. I think we know how I would pretty much stand on a drag strip.

As far as magazine times go, yes. But that doesn't mean you won't have a freak of a car or a really slow one either. It's cheap fun, you should try it sometime.

Ok drag racing isn't easy, but in comparsion it is much more simple than even auto-x. At several auto-x's they have given us a decent strait before the first slalom and if you don't launch good you are going to be playing catch up to an AWD car. Even the Speed World Challenge has a pretty important drag race at the beginning and letting the Audi's completely rip you to the first corner on a short 25 lap race isn't exactly a good thing.
I like auto-x better but why not be well rounded? It's not like the drag strip is expensive.

For an excellent example of getting trounced by the S4's launch in the Speed World Challenge check out this video clip. :D

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. Pisses me off. It's like "All right Real Time is on the pole". Then I realize that Gilatti is in the top 10 and its like "never mind, stupid S4 and its quattro".
