6 days running, 2 degrees of timing too much, and exactly 4 decent TICKS (the kind that crack liners on hondas, the kind me and sam usually shrug off), and i'm predicting at least one spun bearing (or at least one flatspotted one, but i'm pretty sure its spun now, i went and put a beatdown on an s4 after i'd heard some light clicking i assumed was just my loud injectors), and definitly broke one or more ring lands (probably around the same time, it was unusually sluggish after the event but hadn't pinged knocked hammered or anything else wierd).
guess the 200k motor just didnt like the abuse eh? :wiggiesmo

The exact reason why the vo will never put a beatdown on the school bus :cackle: .
So what are the plans, just another run of the mill short block or you actually going to build it?

well, theres no hole in the side, i've got a spare crank and a set of good pistons (can you see where this is going...) i've got a feeler out for a set of rods depending on wether or not the bearing actually spun (or if its just really flatspotted, it doesnt knock all the time), and wether or not i bent the rods that are currently in there. :mono: hopefully by next weekend i'll be shoehorning it back in there with new burrins and rins

shiiiit.
if it was actually broken, i might :cackle:
turns out i dodged a bullet, no broken rings, cracked pistons, nuked lands, blown headgasket, bent rods, or spun bearings.
it did however have a couple flattened rod bearings (hehehe whoops), but that was the extent of the damage. its getting the in-car treatment, oughta be running (or close to it) by next weekend, then its 7psi for a couple of days to let everything seat back up (rings and rod bearings, bye bye blowby :mono: ). the real shitty part about all this is i'll get it back together long enough to poke around for a weekend and then its gone for a week+ at the body shop :(
