I thought I'd share the boards stats w/ yall...

The board is on it's way to consuming it's record amount of bandwidth this month. Yall have already eaten 890 megs in 16 days. Last month you ate just barely a gig (1,000 megs approx) in a month. If everything stays the same we should end up hitting around 1.4 gigs. Not too shabby actually. Thank god for GZip compression.

Board Stats:

Posts: ----- 4088
Threads: --- 331
Users: ----- 48
DB Size: --- 5.43 Megs
Posts/Day: - 51.09
Threads/Day: 4.14

Most Used Smiley :D

Website Hit Stats
October
My site served 121,184 pages with 289,524 hits

We had 105 Unique visitors
We have around 804 Hits per hour.
Most people visit the site around 5pm and the curve bells b/twn 3pm-2am

BTW... The file that actually consumes the most bandwidth is my avatar :D
It accounts for 2,737,970 megs this month :D

The only person who visits the site the most aside from me is someone w/ a bellsouth DSL connection (IP 157.***.***). I think it might be Brock, not quite sure.

Most popular browser by far is IE 6.0 then 5.5....
22% of users are using either 2K or XP

71 Hits from the UK
40 Hits from Austria
37 Hits from Australia
27 Hits from US Military Domains
6 Hits from our neutral neighbors to the north
1 Hit from our neighbor below our southern borders

Thought some of yall would be intrested in boring shit like this so I figure I'd post it...

Oh.. BTW.. Someone asked me this a while ago (I really don't remember who) but, if your intrested as well this is my password (The way it is stored in the DB)

3e5005fe0bfde5f630fb913f384848bf

Any cryptology fans out there? If you can derive my password you would probably get a Nobel Price (dead serious), hell I'll even give you the salt string if you want.

I dont need that damn salt string and can still get your password.

IT IS: J30

 What is a salt string? (I dont want an answer to that)

Its a two character string on which to base an encryption.

What IS the salt string for your pwd? There are 5625 different possibilities.

The salt is 3e, correct? If i knew the salt, and number of chars in your pwd, the encryption type used, i think i could figure it out. Dont think i could 'crack the code' without a much much much faster computer.

.

Yeah that would be me. That's weird I didn't think I was really on that much.

That info is pretty cool.

Your right... The salt would be 3e if it were a standard DES encryption but, this board uses a MD5 one-way hash for encryption...

MD5 is a one-way tabular hash that digests the entire string (file, image, whatever you want) and turns it into a repeatable 32 bit string.

It is actually mathematically infeesable to work a hash backwards...

all this talk about hash is giving me the munchies. Guess i wont be able to hack that. I got a good hacking puzzle. I'll post it sometime in the next week or two (gotta find it or re-create it)

There are 9 levels...

Level 9 involves spoofing a perl script by faking your HTTP post requests to the server... Pretty easy actually....

If anyone wants me to walk them through it buy me some beer and I'll be happy to...

Hmmm md5 hash.. mmmmmm
I *could* leave one of my linux boxen running for a while on that one...
Last time i did something like that was to a certain web server at a certain anonymous university (I cleared out all the des passwords in about 45 minutes and most of the md5 ones that night...). And no, the anonymous university is not auburn....

Follow the white rabbit... ;)
