The head gasket?

Frosty_DUB
10-19-2002, 02:15 PM
yea, that head gasket is the best.

If you would read, you would see that its not a head gasket its an intake mani gasket.

The whole page is about the ecu program, where the hell did you come up with head gasket????

The head gasket?

And you wonder why people think you are dumb. You have two choices: A) Pull your head out of your ass or B) Run your car into a brick wall. No one around here is going to have a lick of respect for you until you do that.

quit using the learning thing as an excuse, use some intelligence (read the article that is being discussed), and then you would see that it was not about a head gasket.

This is a guide to life, if you go into a meeting about a certain topic and you are not at all versed in that topic keep your mouth shut. If you have read up on what is assigned (posted) then you, assuming you can meet the graduation requirements of the state of Alabama should be able to form an intelligent question, or make comments that are mildly based on the topic. Please do this. it will make all of our lifes that much better.

As for the hondata that sounds like a great product. Those curves look nice, I find it pretty interesting about how the vtec jump is smoothed out a lot. I am kinda fond of that vtec swap over, but more power for more time is a good thing. When you going to get one man.

I dunno, I am still skeptical. That's just me. I know Honda does a lot of tuning just for emissions, but you get that kind of gain, from no mods?

There is nothing about a headgasket, on that whole page !

The word gasket was there though, and a gasket is a gasket right??

read the article if you don't know what it is. if you have questions after that (god forbid) then ask.

anywayz.... that looks pretty nice. i can't belive it pulls 15-20 lbs of TQ. hum ... i still can't see that.

kinda pisses me off to think honda holds out that much from everyone. I could see that on the civic hybrid, but not one of there sporty cars.

I love flaming away on ppl as much as the next person, but the thread is completely off topic now. We were talking about hondata and the RSX type S. Is this still in development or is it for sale yet??

Jessie, I know your comeback will involve you saying that you dont care what others think and that you are not trying to get respect, well save it, wise up, and move the fuck on. Ask intelligent questions, and make sensible comments, and people will stop treating you like the left nut of an old horse sitting in a field eating grass.

Seriously, I'm tired of somebody posting an interesting thread and then it gets garbaged up by people trying to flame SSC of the board when she asks a stupid question. It turns into a huge argument and I'm SICK of reading that shit :x I'm all about topics taking a natural progression of discussion, but this is ridiculous. I'd like it if Adam would lock and/or delete threads like this and then restart with the original idea. Anybody who wants to continue the damn bitching can do so on PM.

Lets act like at least freshmen in college here

Before a headgasket?

Is this still in development or is it for sale yet?? BACK TO HONDATA....

Yes, it is for sale. You have to think what I would do after I bought the system. The system may cost $300+ and then I would have to send my stock ECU off to Hondata from a licensed Hondata dealer and pay $75 for overnight delivery. Then I would have to pay to get it tuned. Can we say several more hundred dollars. I would also want (not have to) to get aftermarket cams because my powerband drops off at 7800 rpm. Yes, it will allow my car to rev to 8600 or 8900 (my choice) but there is no point unless my car could carry the power. Think about if I bought more mods after the system was installed. I would have to go and get it tuned AGAIN! I wouldn't have to but my car wouldn't respond to the following mods as well. Hondata should be last. Header and pulleys are next.

What header are you looking at?

Frosty_DUB
10-21-2002, 07:00 PM
you dont have to get it tuned, thats what they do. ITs not like you have alot of mods to tune for. YOu dont have to send it over night for 75. Thats 200 to the wheels. Thats alot.

The system is $550 or something. Like an audi chip, they dont have to tune it afterwards, its plug and play.

Hondata must be tuned. They come with some already tuned maps but you need to still have it tuned

Frosty_DUB
10-21-2002, 11:39 PM
This isnt the normal hondata. You dont have to tune it, its like an audi chip, read the review where a guy says he installs it, then went to the dyno to see what numbers it puts out.

That means its plug and play.

AU RSX-S
10-22-2002, 05:24 PM
I just got an email from a Hondata dealer and he said he thinks it's already tuned but it he was going to call Hondata to be certain.

AU RSX-S
10-22-2002, 05:42 PM
I said fuck it and called Hondata myself. The chips come tuned and I have a choice of four different settings to pick from. It all depends on what setup I want to run in the future. They said with my intake I should put around 205 HP to the wheels. WOW! The program is $595.95. I think I really want this. I will have peak torque at 3200 RPM and never have a decrease in power untill 8000 RPM instead of the stock 6000 to 7800 RPM. I just have to get six hundred dollars first.

That definately sounds like a great mod. Something that would work very nicely with other components you end up adding later. 205 whp...nice.
